As winter approaches, I decided to install an OEM plastic battery cover on my 1995 Sl2. I remember when I bought my 1994 last year, it came with a cover. But my 1995 doesnt have one, so I...

It was never harsh but it was noticeable. I enjoyed it. Now it seems to be grabbing softly as it is getting colder. I am not sure if this is a normal thing but I am getting concerned. Its am OEM...

Hello all,
I have been reading that if I overfill my manual trans past a half, that it will possibly drip onto the clutch.
I have 60k on my clutch and trans, original from 1994 (transplanted into a...

Re: Low Mile Finds

I wish I was 10 years older with a nice garage. I'd buy every last one of these things.

Re: Defrost and then some

I guess I will have to find a known dead one and tear it apart and look at the innards. Would be a good little rainy or snowy day project.

Re: Defrost and then some

Are these rebuildable? I assume a shop would have to do it, but is it even possible?

Re: Defrost and then some

Part came in, cruise works. Now to find the proper pedal mounting piece instead of my little rig.
I do notice that it does sometimes pop out of place, whether it be inside the servo or my mounting...

I found another yard to try once this darn rain stops. They do not have an inventory access and have not kept records since the yard was established in the 1980s. So...

Re: Computer fitment

It didn't work, the car would crank but not fire. I bought a 1995 Manual PCM for $40 on ebay two months ago for it (old thread). So, I can confirm that it does not work properly.

I have never seen a gen1 in person with fogs, so I am kind of in the dark here too.

Re: 99 SL2 - 5 spd Engine/Transaxle Removal

I agree. My father did that back at Saturn, they would put the car up in the air, unbolt the tranny side bolts of the subframe, and then have somebody hold down on it as the other slid the trans out...

Re: Should I actually bother with buying a Saturn? Semidisabled novice needs advice..

Thanks for clearing it up. I like to refer to it as a gen 2.5 due to having the cast intake manifold but still having the narrow head. Kind of how people refer to 1995 Sedans as gen 1.5.

Re: Should I actually bother with buying a Saturn? Semidisabled novice needs advice..

1999 DOHC's have the narrow head design, which I believe makes it a gen 2.5 engine. I believe that covers from 1999-2002 were swappable, but do not quote me on that one. I also know that they have an...

Re: Defrost and then some

That has always been an option, but I really do prefer to partake in local cash deals where I can remove the part myself. I know of a few first gens, two 1994s specifically, but no others. I cannot...

Re: Defrost and then some

Multiple junkyards have no clue what a 1995 S-Series is. They keep giving me the runaround telling me to give them more time and that they swore they had one somewhere. Then they never call me back....
