Harmonic balancer bolt can be done by hand as well.

I've pulled a number of 5spd motors out the top but make it easy and pull motor and trans.

Just went thru this with the wife's 08 Cherokee. Ended up having to cut both ends of the bolt off.

Replace the rear heater hoses. They are easy to get to with the motor out but a total pain with the motor in place.

actually if it were me I'd replace anything that was old or questionable but...

If you replace one outer tie rod then replace them both. They are cheap and you only have to get a front alignment once.

The yearly wheel bearing replacement would concern me.

I'm surprised no one has suggested cleaning the throttle body. Doing so will cure the sticky petal at least and may help the other issue as well

First remove the belt to see if the sound is still there. If so then it could be chian or related.

I used a pry bar thru the balancer and under the oil pan lip to get them off. Same way going on....

Since you are getting the noise from the clutch I'd try checking that first.

There is a way to check the travel, I'm sure someone will chime in on how to test.

Not sure but the list of things replaces is rather long. However like I've said before it is in drive to California ready at any moment. No grabbing oil, checking oil, ect. Just get in and leave.

Couple of guys have a good eye... those are not factory wheels for an sl1. They are SL2 steel wheels. I was tired of such limited choices for tire sizes.

Valve cover is a common place for leaks, more so if you have the plastic cover.

Burning oil is also very common, as Saturn Night said the piston rings are prone to sticking and will cause oil use...

One point to make though was Luke did it on the original engine I have not. Last I heard though he was burning a quart of oil like every 100 miles.
