Re: ISimple ISGM73 I-Pod interface in 1995 SL2

The display shows disk 1 song ??. When you change songs using the radio, the song count goes up. Also when it just goes to the next song. It is not the actual song count from the I-pod. The RDM...

Re: ISimple ISGM73 I-Pod interface in 1995 SL2

On the 95 there was a square connector under the console coming from the radio, that plugged into the harness that goes to the trunk. If the SW has this connector, you could splice wires or re-pin a...

Re: ISimple ISGM73 I-Pod interface in 1995 SL2

I thought of re-pinning it, but then I has enough wire to go from the trunk to the dash, so I went totally plug and play.

Re: ISimple ISGM73 I-Pod interface in 1995 SL2

if it has the equalizer with the AX button, and the 10 pin connector in the trunk you should be good to go.

ISimple ISGM73 I-Pod interface in 1995 SL2

The long and short of it is that it worked! Very well! The instructions are crap, and I have searched for info on this for 2 weeks and came up with nothing.

I removed the radio, the heater...

Re: S-Series Spot and Shot

I'm getting teary eyed, as a Canadian in exile in Maryland this is making me home sick. And craving a Timmies. And some Swiss Chalet.

*edit* Sorry, I forgot to apologize. Sorry.

Re: Michelin Defender Tires

I don't know about the Michelin's, but I had a set of Yokohama Avid's that were excellent. ANd I had a set of Fuzion on a previous Chevy Cavalier that lasted about 90K, were quiet, and performed...

My wife has a 2012 mini, 121 Hp, it's a 6 speed auto but maybe that will be the first race. Got to get the wife in a competitive mood then it's on.

If I recall, the 1.6 in the corola gts was...

Re: What Type of Person Drives Saturns the Most?

I clicked average middle aged Americans (should be people, we can't leave out Canada) because that's what I see driving the most, even though when there is a shiny one I know it's grandma behind the...

Re: What a shame

Too bad, I'm in Harrisburg right now. Looks like it's totaled but if you had a rust free body it would be a great car to swap parts. Especially with no title.

Re: Not seeing a huge power difference DOHC/SOHC

Re: Not seeing a huge power difference DOHC/SOHC

I only took it for a short highway drive, look like it is about 300 to 400 rpm less at 60 MPH in 5th, so I can see where it would get bogged down a bit. Over 4K the DOHC is more lively, but when you...

Not seeing a huge power difference DOHC/SOHC

I liked the first saturn I bought for my son so much, I bought one for my daughter (both new drivers) Paid $1100 for the 95 SL2 5 spd, tuned it up and it works really really well. So I found a 98 SL1...

Re: Swapping blown dohc for sohc/trans

You could take the engine and trans out of the sl1, swap in your DOHC head, and put the whole kit and caboodle in your 96. As long and everything else is OK in you 96.

Re: Phase-out of R-134a

Propane has a higher ignition point than gasoline. 536 vs 878. So on the surface it looks safer. Am I wrong?
