Re: Did my A/C compressor just break?

First drawing below is for a typical ac system for Saturns. The cross hatched area of the drawing is behind the firewall, inside the hvac box with the two ac fittings visible for uv light...

Re: Ls2 v6 turning over but not starting

I understand your frustrations with EFI systems. Unfortunately, unless you can spend time becoming more knowledgeable about the differences between old carbs/distributor systems from EFI systems,...

Re: Transmission slamming into gears after parking on a decline

Perhaps you should post your frustrations to GM. I've been surprised when I tried corresponding with a food manufacturer's packaging failure in comparison to a competitor using the exact same...

Re: Ls2 v6 turning over but not starting

Here's a drawing and pinout for the crank sensor circuit. A flow chart show resistance should be between 800-1200 ohms. When mine failed (intermittently) after driving on the highway, it failed hot....

Re: Right and left wheel bearing for 2009 Aura XR?

You can always try GM parts online or rockauto to compare parts listings to determine if a right/left designation exists or not.

Re: Transmission slamming into gears after parking on a decline

I'm not sure why you find fault in checking xmission fluid level via a side port on the xmission case. It is what it is. After all, every rear wheel drive with a differential required filling,...

Re: Difficulty shifting into gear

Checking clutch fluid level won't tell anyone if the master or slave is worn. Personally, with 247k miles on original parts, I think you're looking at all new parts; new hydraulic system, clutch,...

Re: Hello everyone! New member, former lurker. *Toad rescue!*

Houdoxi71, as you're probably aware, towing with all wheels on the ground means leaving the ignition switch in ACCessory position so the steering wheel isn't locked and remembering to turn off...

Re: sc2 aftermarket lights mod help

I think you may be misunderstanding how daytime ruining lights work and it's compounding attempts to wire in a light bar with existing wiring or modifying it.

First, the S-series uses series...

Re: Transmission slamming into gears after parking on a decline

I went just over 100k miles when I received one or two xmission error codes while away from home. I didn't have my reader with me and the engine/xmission acted very strange. Knowing it was a xmission...

Re: Ls2 v6 turning over but not starting

P0335 is a very unusual error code as it rarely (if ever) appeared here. It's pointing to the crank position sensor. Basically, a dead crank sensor kills the entire EFI system. The ecm cannot run...

Re: Ls2 v6 turning over but not starting

If you can, update your profile to reflect what you're driving so it comes up under your name. We won't have to play twenty questions.

Year and mileage while I look up the error codes?

Re: Transmission slamming into gears after parking on a decline

randyfarber, hard shifting can be a faulty pressure control solenoid but you're not experiencing hard shifts at any time other than the initial movement when parking downhill. This suggests possible...

We have members here doing the same, posting without following up to close out their thread. Its unfortunate as it leaves anyone wanting info wasting their time searching and finding open threads...

Re: 02 SL2 not turning over after sitting for about 1 month

1-That video was made in 5/5/2014 and zero followup on what the problem was.

2-You're either describing a failure of the starter (no starter sounds, dead/discharged battery, worn out starter) or...

Re: Ls2 v6 turning over but not starting

With many parts replaced including new fuel pump, fuel filter and coil packs, were spark plugs replaced? Fuel pressure gauge can be borrowed from Autozone or Advance Auto if you're near them (call...

Re: Is engine seized?

Mileage? Worn timing chain may allow upper engine noise. Low oil pressure may allow more wear to occur for noisy drive train mechanicals. Most oil pressure problems are from a worn out oil pressure...

Re: 06 saturn vue Rack and pinion already?

Wow!? Simply astounding and shocked how any dealer, especially a name brand model to have poorly maintained alignment equipment. And the fact that you had to 'hand hold' the manager by insisting on...

Re: My 05 quad just hit 300k, want to keep running good!

Just a guess here. A small and large evap system leak can be anywhere. I had both error codes, starting with a small leak that became a large leak on my L300. My fuel vent line (steel, around 1/4"...

Re: sc2 aftermarket lights mod help

sc2 saturn, are you wiring the 120 watt lights to turn on with high beams? What isn't well known is GMs use of daytime running lights with high beams. This presents a possible wiring issue if...

Re: 06 vue heater fan stopped

If you had to hit the dashboard to get the blower to run from time to time, this may be one of two things. If the blower is used year 'round (more than normal as a consequence of regional temperature...

Re: Did my A/C compressor just break?

The compressor buzzing is one hint of losing refrigerant. As refrigerant leaks out, there's less to compress with less oil to lubricate. Less oil means less lubrication and you're hearing it. Once...

Re: Did my A/C compressor just break?

You've been fleeced. Other than reefer trucks or commercial hvac systems cooling buildings, vehicle ac systems do not have a gallon of refrigerant. In your Saturn, factory specs are 24 ozs or 1.5...

Re: 02 SL2- Right CV Axle Replacement Problem

I've followed this thread since the beginning. My money is on the circlip inside the xmission interfering with seating cv joints. The shaft ends are usually chamfered for a finished appearance. It...

Re: Highway stability scare

Winter or all season tires can sometimes act squirrelly on grooved (groves are for trees) surfaces. Your winter tires with tread pattern is also softer for better traction in freezing conditions....
