Re: AC Compressor - Model number comparisons

Parts store usually has good ones strangely enough.

You can use the R-12 hose with a R-134a adapter with no problems. The hose issue is gas permeability and not any degradation. You are not...

Re: high idle and negative fuel trim

If you used a puller pressing on the center compressor shaft you may have trashed the compressor seal. That is why you have to finesse the coil off of the front of the compressor. There are ways to...

Re: Right Axle Harmonic Damper Corrosion

Cut the damper off, you do not need it. Only shipped on manual trans cars with steel wheels. Go to JY and find a 94 or newer right axle without the damper and keep your wheels balanced.

After...

Re: installing misc fasteners

Many of those bolts can not be torqued due to access. You can run in all the oil pan bolts with a nut driver and get them a hard hand tight, that will be a torque in the 70+ in-lb range without...

Re: installing misc fasteners

I would invest in some loctite instead of oil and clean all your bolts before install and loctite application. You want something on the threads to keep the aluminum oxide in check. Removal will be...

Re: AC Compressor - Model number comparisons

The oil is carried by the refrigerant so you must have adequate refrigerant to lube the compressor. You can charge these compressors/systems without having them turning as the pressure will equalize...

Re: Freakin reverse slam

It is not a tube nut, it is the input shaft nut that holds the entire input shaft stack together.

Do not add anything into that transmission as 99.9% of them are completely incompatible.

I...
