just ordered from RockAuto. it was a good 50$ cheaper for what i hope will be a better part and, it comes with the hoses which i should probably replace anyway. so, it will be a bit over a week...

never mind, going from top to bottom on the video flipped my brain, the plug is on the passenger side, dang, off to buy a new radiator, or order one.

I hated that issue, the screwdriver trick works but it helps to have a friend holding the screwdriver in place while you do the wrenching. I still have the screwdriver i bent doing this. ahhh...

yes bob I did. well, i had a shop do it. the new clutch is fabulous! and i wonder if the forceful shifting i had been doing might have done a number on this little plastic piece.

so its not a pin it looks like a little dry rotted rubber well, to compare my car to a body, rotator cuff. it goes around a little ball bearing looking thing that is at the bottom end of the gear...

sadly the pic n pull here in st louis does not lift the cars. But one loose-but-still-in-place plastic pin can wait till its warmer, and less soggy.

BV22 you are amazing, thank you for making me feel less like a doofus! Upon further inspection the pins all stayed intact, one one pulled out and it appears mostly stable when i pushed it back in....
