Re: Need help identifying bolt hole

Seeing that no members - including me - have had any direct information to share, I'd recommend looking for any forums dealing with the Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia models with the 3.6L engine....

ECOTEC 2.2L idles roughly (not what you'd expect)

For several months I'd noticed a roughness in the engine idle which had me baffled as to why it was happening. This had occurred with the original engine and with the replacement engine as well. Now,...

Re: 2.2L Timing Chain and Tensioner

I wrote this incorrectly (at least in part). Looking into my FSM and the Haynes manual neither of them contemplate a removal of the tensioner apart from the removal of the timing chain. This being so...

Re: 2.2L Timing Chain and Tensioner

The timing chain tensioner is removable without taking off the front timing chain cover. I can't remember exactly at present, but the hex on the tensioner is either 30 or 32mm. Loosening it may...

Re: 2000 LW1 replacement engine

I consider that the ECOTEC 2.2L engine is a fine engine and can last a long time when well maintained. So I would have no qualms about this kind of engine swap. The question for us all is are the...

Re: Rear brake bolt specs

Just for clarity, our L-Series cars do not have caliper mounting brackets at the rear wheels. The calipers are mounted on to the rear backing plates on a space which is heavily bolstered, thickened,...

About this engine swap - I had never performed such a job before. I considered it daunting but doable. The FSM was invaluable in this process as it lined out the order in which all was to be done...

Re: A donor engine installed. Now a bad high idle.

That all looks correct to me. However, the IAC Valve pintle on my throttle body was almost - if not fully - extended to close off the bypass air at a cold start. Now, when I removed the valve from...
