Sounds like everything you should need.

Just compare sensors on the back of the block for oil pressure, etc. I can't remember what year they changed, but the differences are pretty obvious if...

This is entirely incorrect.

There is no need to swap wiring harnesses or PCMs for that matter, unless you're trying to avoid a code for a non-AIR head, which requires locating a 2000 non-AIR PCM. ...

Turbos do a great job of quieting exhaust down. Currently I have a 3" turbo back with a 36" resonator and a 3" magnaflow

The more resonator(s) the better. When I was N/A I ran Thrush turbo...

You might be able to get a better look if you were to pull the inspection cover.. but it's something that you're going to need to pull your trans to do regardless so I'd just start pulling the cover...

If it's bucking between shifts I'd hook up a scan tool and measure readout from your intake air temp ( IAT ) sensor and also your O2 sensor.. check both upper and lower engine/trans mounts as well. ...
