Re: Reflector Panel Mod

Did that to my old '93 SL2. Something like 6 years ago, and I'm 99% sure I wasn't the first :)

SC's don't have that option, all they can do is paint it.

I don't believe SW's had a tail light...

Re: ODB I to ODB II Conversion

How much down-time (rendering it useless) can you have with it? The swap won't be finished in a weekend, if it can be done at all.

Only way I can think of it being done is to swap the electrical...

Re: Clutch Dump

Electronically impossible from a stop, with a stock S-Series.

Once you do get something close to 4500rpm to work, be sure to do it on pavement and stay on the gas pedal until you hear an awesome...

Re: Downstream O2 sensor is stuck!

Wrench? You have ZERO leverage on it. My O2 sensor socket and 18" long flex-handle have no issue's with getting O2 sensors out.

It's 7/8", metric equivalent should be 22mm.

Re: what does a factory radio with cd changer controls look like?

Or you can spend the $50-$80 on a Digital Media Player instead and have USB/iCrap support built in.

Things like that change with year and engine type.

Re: Best lube for drum brake adjuster? Is there anyway to test rear wheel speed senso

VT doesn't give exact numbers, leave's it to the tech to figure out the manufacturer of the shoe and then figure out what the manufacturer's minimum thickness is.

This is another thing I've...

Re: Exhaust manifold swap and fitment conundrum

At one point only Eastern made the CA emission downpipe, even they gave up a year or two ago. Your only options now are get a federal manifold & downpipe or have a new flex pipe welded in. You'll...

Re: My Red Hot got into an Accident! (w/Pic)

If it wasn't the Red Hot I'd say take the bigger payout & find something else...being the Red Hot I'd do my best to keep it.

Shouldn't be that long (shop time) to do the radiator support if you...

Re: No Power, Bad Gas Mileage

Should have swapped coils before buying new/used to verify a bad coil. 1st gen ICM's like to die, you can use one from '93-'95 S-Series.

Re: 2000 Saturn SL1 Eating Bearings

The process of putting the bearings in is simple, but you have to be precise and fully support both the inner & outer race's for the whole procedure. Recently I've also found out that torquing the...

Re: Warning dont use Penzoil in your car it will ruin it.

A better warning is to actually read the label on the oil and never buy dollar store oil ever again unless your engine was made before 1980.

Re: MP7 in SOHC

SOHC automatic PCM's only know how to control MP6's, DOHC automatic PCM's only know how to control MP7's.

Might be able to make it work with a custom TCU such as MegaShift, but you'd have to swap...

Re: Trying to drain my radiator. NOTHING comes out of the drain. Help?

Anyone else think the goop on the thermostat is some form of stop leak and the cause of the the radiator not draining?

Flush the heater core and hope for the best IMO. Might not be a bad idea to...

$30 reverse glow white face gauge set. If they're no longer on ebay, they were all over the place a year or two ago.

I found it easier to take the cluster out to install them but theoretically you...

Re: Re-doing suspension need tips.

Draining the fluid pretty much comes with taking the lines off at the rack, need a 18mm brake line crow foot for that (99% sure a brake line style wrench is not optional). Then there's a 10mm bolt...

Re: Any Ideas how to test a Power Window Switch in the Junkyard?

A DMM should work for showing it's not totally failed. Easier than depending on no one randomly cutting the harness out of the car, or finding a way to power the car and find the key (windows only...

Re: Trying to drain my radiator. NOTHING comes out of the drain. Help?

Sometimes the tab on the radiator drain plug that's supposed to pull it out from the hole it's in shears off and you just spin the drain plug, doing nothing to open it unless you also pull on it...
