Re: Strange no crank issue 2004 Vue 2.2 MT

I had the same thing happen today me a while back. Odd ball start no start, occasional dash lights on and locks locking on their own. After digging I found the ground to the starter was corroded....

Re: Clutch Master Cylinder Rod Break?

I had considered that, however, I can get the cylinder for free under warranty. I'm just going to swap it. Hopefully it's not a massive undertaking as I'm going to swap just the cylinder.

Also,...

Clutch Master Cylinder Rod Break?

Has anyone seen this?

I've really had no trouble driving my car. I went to start it up and I get this terrible shrill noise and after two-three pedal pumps I get no pedal pressure. My initial...

Re: no start/new battery

If the BCM has failed the passlock light will flash and it will not start.

Most likely that's the cause of no start. Do the lights and other devices in the vehicle work? Interior lights, HVAC,...

Re: Light Sensor

Fixed it for you.

If the sensor is ok and the surround is broken, I'd try to fab up something either out of a flat washer(s) and paint them black.

Alternatively...

That looks great! I know we'll have to all do that sooner than later. Nice find on color matching.

Re: 2005 4cyl Manual Reliability

You can fit 15" wheels on a VUE with no mods to the brakes or suspension.

I've got 133,000 on mine and I've put in:
New Slave and Master Cylinder
Clutch and resurfaced Flywheel (because of the...

Custom Aluminum Roof Basket Fairing

I've had a roof top basket for a while and it's been noisey. It's too much of a hassle to mount and unmount it when it's not in use, so I needed a fairing. After searching online, all I could really...

Re: 07 Vue with bad 2.2 Ecotec

06-07 should be the same out of a VUE/Cobalt/HHR etc. The head and block is the same, however intake, exhaust, compression ratio and a slew of everything else is probably different.

Car-part shows...

Re: Never saw this before

Its actually rather simple, pop off the window switch cover, remove the tray under the console cover, pry the center console cover off and the switch comes with it. You may or may not have to unplug...

Re: Syncros or shift cable?

I'd also recommend putting a lubricant paste on any and all pivot joints. I used Permatex's grey brush on thick lube. I use it on the pivot balls and then I put the shifter into 2nd and lube both...

15" 235/75 wheels, tires and roof basket installed with pic

I got these off of a early 2000s Cherokee. The tires are a little worn but the wheels are nice and they have just a little bit of poke.

They're 235/75R15, Goodyear Wranglers. They're not very...

Re: Another A/C perspective--rad fan speed?

Interestingly enough I did some research and testing myself just the other day.

Re: Syncros or shift cable?

Very much so, that's also wquite a lot of graphite. I found that using a generous amount of Permatex's Anti-Seize Lube when the cables are fully exposed on both ends, (inside the cabin and on the...

I'd start there.

Re: V6 Airbag and Steering Wheel is Now Installed with Pics!!!

It should pending that the contacts on the replacement air bag are in good, functioning shape.

Most VUE bags/wheels are a direct fit. Be careful with the clock spring and all airbag wiring. If it...

Re: 2006 Vue shift knob mod

You can certainly try, however that knob seems tremendously out of place in the VUE interior. I'd try to find a vehicle in similar time period. however, in theory it should work all the same. Your...

Re: Did I get ripped off

Advance sells the hub ranging anywhere from $125 - $178, and you can usually get a 30% off coupon for it. With that said, if you had a bolt(s) break or if you hub was frozen on and it had to be...
