Re: Reaching my wits end.

If it were me, I would go after what appears to be an issue with the throttle position sensor or something going on with one of it's circuits. The tps is one of the biggest factors determining...

Re: P0340/P0341 codes. New parts installed. Still bad..

#1 and #4 wires get switched like that on occasion when folks do tune ups etc. This isn't the first time this has happened on the forum. Don't feel bad though, this actually happened in the shop I...

Re: 04 Vue steering concerns.

I would suspect maybe the universal joint in the intermediate steering shaft. You could try spraying it with PB blaster or something like that to see if it makes any difference. It may be to far gone...

Re: If the noise isn't wheel bearings, what else could it be?

Just throwing this out there, wheel bearings in the Vues are notorious for going bad. If you want to keep looking for problems with the transaxle or awd system then go ahead, I know where I'd be...

Re: If the noise isn't wheel bearings, what else could it be?

Probably a wheel bearing if the noise changes when loaded/unloaded. If you have a stethoscope and listen when you spin the wheel that might narrow it down.

Re: Where are T3157NA Bulbs used - if at all

Front turn signal bulbs for the s-series and I believe those will work on the Ions for front turn signal/DRL bulbs. Might be some others as well but that's the ones off the top of my head.

Re: I'm not crazy but my SW2 is pointing me in that direction

I've seen alternators on the s-series fail in this way a handful of times over the years. Do yourself a favor and replace your alternator. You may want to check your battery connections and if your...

Re: 99 sl2, new fuel pump wont work

Disconnect the big connectors on the back of the fuse block, guarantee you got melted terminals.

Re: 02 L200 Won't shift / no Speedo

The speed sensor is located where the right side axle goes into the transaxle. You could unplug it and see if there is any corrosion in it or on the connector pins. The orientation of the connector...

Re: Adding cruise control to '99 SL 5spd

Unfortunately there is a lot of confusion out there with certain shops and the technicians nowadays about the s-series because many of them don't know the ins and outs of them. This was a concern of...

Re: Running rough

Double check and make sure you have the #1 and #4 wires on the coil correctly, if those are switched you will have a tip in hesitation.

Re: P0341 code?

Remove the bottom two bolts retaining the ignition coils to the ignition module base. Make sure the underside of the bolt heads are clean and free of any rust/corrosion. Also make sure where those...

Re: Any problems with Honda Engine?

Some of the transaxles were noted for torque converter issues. Even with fluid changes and software updates. The 3.5 is a good engine with the exception of it needing valve adjustment. Sorry but to...

Re: The $700 Saturn

Nice car for $700, nice to see it getting some needed maintenance. In your last picture showing the right front, you need to take the brake caliper off and turn it so the brake hose goes behind the...

Re: where is purge solenoid?

I believe the P0449 code refers to the Evap vent solenoid on the filler neck. I think you are looking in the wrong area.

Re: Coolant leak at plastic and dremel?

It sounds like you quite possibly have a 1st design intake gasket on your car. All of the 2000 model year dohc engines and some of the 2001 model year up to a certain VIN have an intake gasket that...

Re: The old girl is bucking

My money is on the EGR valve. The vacuum controlled valves on engines with higher mileage seemed to do this once in awhile. Most of the time like you said it occurs around 35-40 mph under light...

Re: LW300 Lots of problems, lots of codes

Sure sounds like a restricted exhaust to me. If you were to go to a muffler shop they could check backpressure in the exhaust system for you. This is something your mechanic should have done. Check...

Re: 2001 SC1 low MPG, got back most HP and P0301 gone?

Something that needs to be checked too is the 3rd generation s-series with the sohc engine have bad intake gaskets that cause a cylinder 1 misfire. Not saying that's the problem but worth checking....

Re: 2000 SL2 Hesitation/Jerking

If they pulled the transaxle out to do the clutch, then they had to remove the plug wires from the ignition module/coil pack. Check and make sure those wires are hooked to the correct coil towers....
