With the few saturns i have had over time i have noticed city was quite low and highway quite high....my sc1s have been 35mpg highway and 20-22 mpg city

Had a P0410 code thrown ...checked the air pump and it seems to be working.
Removed the pipe from air pump to exhaust and it had some carbon build up in it...cleaned it out.
Let's see if it won't...

Remember why multi grade was made...people want to start and go in 5 seconds or less.
If you idle 30 s or more before moving the car when starting from cold engine ...then no difference between 5W...

When you switch off the car do you hear the fuel pump and fuel pump relay switch off after a second or so...if not could be the relay or the fuel pump.
That may explain why it gets going when...

Had a 1997 SC1 and drove it up to nearly 150K miles before hail took it out ..clutch was still going great.
Now i have a 2001 SC1 and it is at nearly 160K miles (got it when the clock was at 45K...

Put on new seat covers on my 2001 SC1 front seats...The driver side seat has started flaking and breaking out.

That is the point of multigrade oil; different viscosities when cold and hot....So donot use too thin an oil that may damage the engine when it is warm...
The recommended 5W30 for e.g is viscosity...

20 year old tires are really scary...especially the rubber hardening...even if tire tread is good especially in hot weather 7 to 8 years is the lifetime of most tires....i suspect cold does the same...

If i understand well...an oil at 5W30 will have the same viscosity or lubricating properties whether synthetic or conventional....
Where synthetic shines is it degrades much slower with use than...

Usually for me windex does the trick but if it is not working for you...try ammonia cleaners...windex has a little in it...may be that might work better as it is more concentrated.

Yes the 12V outlet can take easily handle a tire inflator i have used it several times to top off my tires and pump the spare. I tend to switch the engine on..so as not to drain the battery if i am...

2001 sc1, manual trans... has 155000 miles now...Apart from standard oil, brake, radiator flush, replacing spark plugs etc...i had to replace an engine support and the serpentine belt.
