Re: 2004 Saturn vue
There is a reason for those bent valves. Saturns are known to jump timing and in some cases the timing chain breaks. My 04 jumped timing and wasn't worth fixing. Took care of it changed the oil...

Re: fuel pump cost
I just got the news that the chain jumped timing and the engine is pretty much shot. No compression in 2 and 4. Not worth fixing a car with a value of maybe 1500 bucks when it needs ball joints,...

fuel pump cost
2004 4 cyl fwd manual 170k. This car owes me nothing after 12 years and has never failed me. I get ready for work and it cranks but no start. Came home from work last night no problem. I don't...

Re: 04 clutch
For 650 if that is the total price for a new clutch installed I would certainly fix it. How much is a new car payment going to be per month?

Re: 2005 Saturn Vue A/C and rad fan not working
Holy crap. Kevlar95, try and put a charge in and see if the compressor kicks on. If it's below 15 pounds the compressor won't kick in. Once you raise the pressure it will come on so when you start...

Re: 2003 2wd clutch slave cylinder
I'm not having any problems. I'm just curious. As the miles pile up on my 04 I tend to be more aware of any little sounds just to be on the safe side. Nothing worse than being stuck on the side of...

Re: 2003 2wd clutch slave cylinder
I'm at 162k on my 04 and no problems other than an oxygen sensor and crossing my fingers that I get a couple more years out of it. What are the sypmtoms of the slave going bad? I've always been...

Re: It's dead, help!
VTI's are still on the road? GM should of had a class action suit against them on that one, or did they? I never heard about it. I had a 03 and I got rid of it within the first 6 months.

Re: Saturn Vue shift cables
Is that a question or a statement? I changed my manual tranny fluid at 155k just because I plan to run it into the ground. The book says the manual is a sealed unit and doesn't need it. I caught...

Re: 2004 Vue 2.2L 5spd - Clutch Safety Switch
I have 160 thousand miles now and never had an issue but I have had other Chevy vehicles over the years where I just jumpered the wire harness with a paper clip. I guess I'll have to check this in...

My cables did not come with any orange clips of any kind. I got 2 cables and nothing else. I did not remove any retention clips other than a metal clip on the steering rack which they just clip...

Cables are done. Just wanted to mention that anybody with some basic tools and some patience can do this. It's easier to get the cables and old connectors out of the shifter if you unbolt the 4...

Re: Should I get snow tires
I don't know about the V6, but the 4 FWD is the absolute worst vehicle I have ever driven in the snow, and I mean ever. I take my 4wd pickup to work when it snows. No matter what tires I put on...

Re: Shift cables
Cables finally came. I operate Wednesday morning. I assume they just pry off the tranny side? With temps in the low 30's I can't even drive it now. Hope this fixes it for winter.
