Re: Fuel smell 2002 L200

Re: L-Series Reliability

Just signed up. Still not enough yet to plug into an L-Series survey. It says, "New cars are added to the survey around the beginning of each month." So will check back.

Re: Will not start! Frustration!

Unlikely, but theft and vandalism? If you park outside maybe someone siphoned gas and replaced it with a like amount of water?

Know this would be remote, but in general if you already have...

Re: 04 L300,2.2, runs briefly then quits

Maybe it's open season for ideas now...:)

AIT? This running situation behaves just like when I'd started once with the air intake temperature sensor disconnected. It did throw a code though. But I...

Re: Filter cap and drain plug torque spec

The 2.2's black plastic cap reads 25nm of torque.

I highly recommend the Lisle - 14700 Filter Wrench for GM 2.2L
"Removes and installs oil filters on 2.2 liter GM Ecotec engines." It's really...

Re: Fuel pump life expextancy. Also a thank you.

Hey, my '02 2.2 fuel pump failed at 120,000 in March 07. Over 141,000 current miles now. BTW, the '95's fuel pump also gave out at around 120k a few years ago. Only a small sample of two, but it...

Re: Catalytic Converter shot?

I have to agree with twhitney on your thermostat. It's stuck open and the bad smell is from running rich and unspent fuel combusting in the cat. I'd gamble that your mpgs have been running lower. ...

Re: squeak/rattle at highway speed

Yes, it certainly could be many things! If the sound is toward the center, maybe it's the cover/door on the cabin air filter? Even just opening and closing that door would also give you a moment to...
