Fuel supply line leak hole in the rear. From the threads here used paperclip method to pump out the fuel and just now dropped the tank (a first for me).

Timing Chain Case Moving Forward

The NHTSA investigation to expand the timing chain recall moved another step forward on Oct 16th. They granted the Defect Petition - DP08002 - and put it to Preliminary Evaluation - PE08061....

I have to agree with twhitney on your thermostat. It's stuck open and the bad smell is from running rich and unspent fuel combusting in the cat. I'd gamble that your mpgs have been running lower. ...
