Re: Why i try to do maint myself!!

When taken to the extreme, it could potentially lead to premature wearing of suspension parts and will cause the tires to wear unevenly (usually in the middle of the tread). I don't think a few...

Use the SEARCH function on the tool bar above. Someone JUST posted the procedure yesterday in this very forum. The interval is 105k.

Re: Quote from Saturn FOT member

Not for long.

People are becoming more brand agnostic (which is the way it should be). If a product meets your specifications and your price, it shouldn't matter where it was produced. I don't...

Re: If Saturn as you know of today was gone, what would be your brand of choice?

That seems to be the direction this train is heading....

Re: If Saturn as you know of today was gone, what would be your brand of choice?

I think Ford is going to be well positioned once the dust clears. I also drove an Edge a few months ago (airport rental). It was a VERY nice ride and felt a lot roomier and was WAY more quiet than...

Re: New-to-me 2005 VUE- Problems already- only Day 2!

Why don't you take it back to whoever you bought it from and have them deal with it? That's extremely suspect that those lights "suddenly came on" just after you drove the vehicle off the lot.

Re: Looking at buying a 2006 Vue

I have an '06. The weak points are:

front struts
front strut mounts
front swaybar end links
front brake caliper bushings
tires (the stock Bridgestone Dueler tires are simply awful)

AWD...

Re: Help me Understand

I think they're a LOT more worried about where they will be employed in a couple of weeks if GM doesn't coax more money out of Uncle Sam. Who woulda thunk the Germans and Swedes would put their foot...

Re: Scary Driveshaft Noise

LOL. I've had a few occasions where I got nasty thumping from ice bonded to the inside of one or more rims. After a couple of minutes it usually flies off and all is well. :)

Cheers,

Re: Look in the Mirror

The number of people in the world who are willing to "pay that price" is a minuscule percentage of the global population. Try asking someone in China/India/Indonesia (I think those 3 countries...

Re: RDM Fluid

It's pretty easy. Look for my write-up from a few months ago in the VUE tech forum.

Re: Help!!!!!!!

Clearly, there is some larger electrical issue. ECM's and coilpacks don't normally fail that often. I'd suggest you get a pro to diagnose the problem. And NOT the "pro" who has just been...

Re: RDM Fluid

For what it's worth, I'm going to change mine again (did it at 32k and now have about 37k) just for grins and I plan to use Synchromax too. I want to see how much more brass sparklies are suspended...

Re: When ads were done right....

I had similar somewhat sappy experiences with my original S car purchases (SL1/SL2 for my girlfriend at the time and an SC2 for me). In those days, the Saturn dealers really did go out of their way...

Re: Alloy wheel help

If you want to keep them, powdercoating is probably the "best" method to solve the problem. Though you could strip them down and shoot 'em with clear coat again.

Aftermarket rims aren't that...

Re: Look in the Mirror

I think the counterpoint has been made, and made, and made too. Both sides of this discussion are valid. None of what we say here is going to make any difference to the outcome so I don't see any...

Re: If Saturn as you know of today was gone, what would be your brand of choice?

Interesting...with 40 votes now, only about 1/3 of the votes are for an American brand of any type and half go to the Japanese. Very interesting that Ford gets about half of the votes for American...

Re: Tranny on vacation, whistle noise with vtec?

I've seen a few posts here from people who noticed "lugging" in 5th gear that was improved by changing the transmission fluid. I noticed it myself on my '06 3.5L VUE. I can't say I've ever...

Re: If Saturn as you know of today was gone, what would be your brand of choice?

There have been 24 votes so far and there has been ONE vote cast for GM and ZERO have voted for a rebadged foreign car...and this a Saturn fan's site.

Ford has gotten a respectable 3 votes...

Re: oil light at idle

While a clogged filter is certainly possible, it is very unlikely. They are designed to bypass the filter element once the restriction gets goes above a predetermined level (effectively ceasing to...

Re: 06 Vue inside water leak

The sunroof drains are probably clogged. It hasn't happened to me (yet) as our VUE spends most of its time garaged. Perhaps someone else who's had this issue can tell you where the drain holes are...
