Re: Radiator fan troubleshooting

Sounds like ects is the first thing to check. Under intake piping driver's side of motor. Should be just under the egr. If it's the round nose plastic sensor, chuck it. Make double sure it's that...

Re: Car audio

With a crutchfield unit (after extensive measuring/research) a double din will not only fit, but look good too. Will fill the opening much better and look closer to a stock fit than any single din...

oh jesus... damn clip...

after much aggravation, and fearing the worst, turns out the "C" clip that holds the shift cable to the trans mount decided it no longer wants to be on the car. I guess 210,000 miles was enough for...

Re: Ebay Part madness!

Re: My clear coat is peeling

As far as I've been able to find, here's a how to (http://www.ehow.com/how_5028554_fix-peeling-clear-coat-car.html) that I found. Recommended to repaint and recoat, but this should do it for now....

Re: RPM Drop really low after engaging clutch.

Vacuum leak check time. Still for sure check the IACV, but also there are a number of (time consuming) tests you can run. Vacuum leak check is one of the easier ones, and my old probe had a leak and...

Re: Getting a newer sl2

Already did the look-over and interior, though stained, is in remarkably good shape, leather/leatherette inerior. As for the bulbs, that's not a problem, I'll be selling the old one to pick-n-pull,...

Re: Shifter cable removal

I was actually able to take a tire iron (the "L" saped kind) and hook one side on the crossmember and use the elbow to push the grommet through the firewall. Takes a little doing, but works pretty...

Getting a newer sl2

Re: RUST HOLE! in the FRAME of my 94 sl1

There's an actual "dinger" fuse marked "Chime." Two options: pull the fuse, or make sure your ignition makes that kinda click when all the way off. You'll know it right away. If it keeps dinging,...

Re: how do you bleed a clutch

I'm working on tracking down the parts to add to the hydraulic system ("T" or "Y" fitting that could double as a bleeder) and am finding promising results. As stated earlier, use the slave...

Re: Hard Shifting Clutch Fails to Release Fully Diagnosis

So, I apologize in advance if I am reviving an old thread. What about a solution a little bit simpler? A longer push rod in the slave cylinder? Is this even possible? If so, that's my last option...

Re: Electric Clutch release system

Yeah, it was an idea born of frustration. lols. I did think about the whole powering while off thing for the electric setup. I think that about makes it outside the realm of feasibility. Unless...

So, after all the digging (and not being able to get my clutch working properly) in a fit of frustration I had a thought. Linear actuator... Now, having no experience in this matter whatsoever, I...

Re: Clutching issues

So what I thought were brand new hydraulics at pick n pull wasn't. No biggie, brand new's in, but still no luck in getting the clutch to move as it should. Also noticed that there is excessive...

Technically speaking, he's actually correct in the way he has it. The way you corrected it is much more pleasing to the ear though. :D (Used to correct the honors english teacher in highschool,...

Re: Restoration of a '96 SL2

If you haven't already thought of something else for that mirror adjustment panel on the driver's door, it's a GREAT place for a tweeter in a component system. Running the wires for it wouldn't be...

Re: Guess I wont be be on the road for too much longer...

What's the possibility of this being sticky-ified? I see this thread linked to a bazillion times in other threads when people have clutch issues. I was reffered to it in my initial clutching problem....

Re: The New Guy

Damn good deals there. I would go with it too! :D As for the wiring, I'll have a look at my wiring diagrams and see if that's the case. Even if you don't though, that kit would give you power locks....

Re: The New Guy

As far as I know, they don't, but I'm sure that can be figured out. Maybe some kind of switch setup by the gear selector with a relay that would trigger the locks in the appropriate direction. I'm...
