Re: 2007 Ion Cylinder 3 Misfire

Try swapping another injector with that cylinder and see if the misfire moves. You may want to check compression first before doing that though.

Re: Surging.

The surging issue may be EGR related, try swapping the valve off your old engine then driving it. How old are the plugs/wires?

Re: Intermittent Taat Shift Slam When Cold. Restart will fix issue.

When testing resistance of the transaxle actuators the best way is to check all of their resistances and compare to each other. Resistance of these varies with temperature, it even states as such in...

Re: P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire detected

Probably your seal on your thermostat is shot allowing coolant to bypass the thermostat, or the thermostat isn't closing correctly. Either way, probably time for a new thermostat. Double check and...

Re: 2002 LW200 Power Steering Quit

Was the end broken or did it have an internal problem?

Re: EDR (black box) and airbag info, '96 sl2

It's probably all in the SDM (Sensing and Diagnostic Module). Basically the airbag computer. The SDM does not care if the seat belt is fastened or not I don't believe. If certain criteria is met, the...

Good news. Nice that you now have power steering as an added bonus.

Re: 2007 Saturn Ion 2.2L Fuel/Evap System Issue?

Try taking the purge valve off the car and see if you can blow air through it, you should not be able to. It should be in a mechanically closed position. It's possible you may have two issues,...

Re: 2002 LW200 Power Steering Quit

It might be a long shot, but take the power steering pump off the intake camshaft and see if the end has broken off. I have seen that just once but it may be worth a look to see. The pump is driven...

Re: 2003 3.0 p0700; p2119; p1780

It was probably a terminal tightness issue with that connector. Back in the day when we had to pull intake manifolds on Vue 3.0 engines to replace defective thermostats, I would leave that connector...

Re: 2000 SL1 randomly idles really low

Even though it may not be the issue, would not be a bad idea to make sure you have the updated ect sensor and clean corrosion free connector. If it were me, I would pull the throttle body off and...

Re: SOHC cam removal

You could pop the end plug out on the driver side of the head, might have to remove the battery too to gain clearance, maybe not.

Re: 2005 Saturn ION dies while driving and after its little colder it starts again

Does not have anything to do with the timing of the motor. I highly doubt that the coolant sensor would be the issue.

Re: 2005 Saturn ION dies while driving and after its little colder it starts again

Flakey crank sensor maybe? You need to determine what you are lacking after it stalls. Check for spark. Could possibly be a fuel pump going bad as well. See if you have fuel pressure or listen for...

Re: This might be the end- need some advice

Unless I'm missing something, did you replace the cylinder head when you did all that work the first time? Cylinder heads are a known failure here and there on the sohc engine. When you put a new...

Re: Fan only works on highest speed. Relay?

High and low speed relays are referring to the cooling fan under the hood. If your blower fan is only working on high, most likely the blower resistor assembly needs to be replaced. Usually when that...

Re: Dragging Passenger Caliper?

Change the hose and see what happens. The brake hoses on the Vues are notorious for getting restricted like that. One way to tell is to crack loose the bleeder screw and see if the brake fluid shoots...

Re: Evap vent solenoid P0446

Make sure your coolant temperature is getting to at least 180F, if it does not, the computer will not run those tests. It's possible the seal on the thermostat may be failing or maybe the thermostat...

Re: Body control module bit the dust

To do the 30 minute relearn you have to bump the key to the crank position just enough to kick the starter over some, are you doing that? Then after 10 minutes, turn the key back to the lock position...

Re: Bad IAC? Low Idle/Oil Light while idle in drive

Just thought I would throw this out there. I used to have a 1997 SL2. One day when I started it and put it in gear the oil light flickered just like yours in your video. I shut it off, checked the...

Re: 93 saturn sl2 stalling

The crank sensor is on the back of the engine above the starter. It's not in the best location as it lives in a hot environment. If I understand you correctly it sputters and dies while idling. What...
