Re: P1217 - No Cruise Control after AC Recharge

Sold!

Owner with 6 Saturns loved the car, drove it onto the tow truck for the last drive.

He had never heard of Saturnfans, so I lead him here; Should have a new contributor soon!

Re: 2000 Saturn LS2 (L300) Great Condition; Pickup in Chicago

Sold to a gentleman from Indiana who owns 6 Saturns, loves the car, and believes he can get her running well again for his son.

Started right up, after sitting a month and drove onto the tow...

Re: P1217 - No Cruise Control after AC Recharge

Sadly, I've decided to part ways with the car. The timing belt has likely jumped a tooth, as it still runs and drives, but sounds awful and has the codes previously mentioned.

I put it up on the...

2000 Saturn LS2 (L300) Great Condition; Pickup in Chicago

Unfortunately, it is time for my Saturn and I to part.

I no longer need a car in the city, and while the car drives amazing and has had thousands put into it over the last few years, the timing...

Re: P1217 - No Cruise Control after AC Recharge

Ran back out to the car today, confirmed the rough-sounding engine has a misfire with a new code; P0300.

Re: P1217 - No Cruise Control after AC Recharge

So the car remains in the parking garage, I'll need to decide if I'll have it towed to a repair shop, the dealer, sell it on craigslist or junk it for what would likely be $100.

It will be sad to...

Re: P1217 - No Cruise Control after AC Recharge

I usually baby the car, but spending 600+ on the timing belt change not only wasn't something I consider worth the investment, but wasn't financially possible.

If you have some insight on what the...

Re: P1217 - No Cruise Control after AC Recharge

I didn't find a blown fuse, topping off the AC with the rest of the 10oz brought it back to freezing, but a larger issue occurred.

The car brought us back to the heart of Chicago, sits in a garage...

P1217 - No Cruise Control after AC Recharge

Here's the quick backstory; I decided to take a week off and do a road trip of a few thousand miles. Chicago through parts of the South to New Orleans and back.

We havent turned the AC on in many...

Re: Fryder ive got 11 codes!!

This post is sort of ridiculous. Funny, but ridiculous.

I usually find that any codes I get on my car are rather generic, but a little bit of hyper text transfer protocol semi colon slash slash...

Re: LS2 Broken Door Brake or 'Stay'

2.5 years later...I replaced it!

Was more difficult than expected, but not impossible. The door had been disassembled before, the plastic vapor shield was destroyed, but I didn't bother to re-seal...

Re: Slight vibration after axle change

If it is a constant vibration at certain speed ranges, such as 68-75, than it is likely an alignment issue. In my experience, vibrations resonate at faster speeds if the alignment is out.

If it is...

Re: New LW-300 owner with questions

What is the process for taking off the timing belt cover? Just getting to it looks like a pain. I believe mine is original, at 114k, but at 92k I had it inspected when the plugs were changed, and...

Re: 215/55R16 tires, what's your recommendations?

I have Goodyear Assurance Comfort treads, with an 80k warranty. They were a bit pricey however, but they are good on gas and definitely got rid of some harshness with potholes around here. I've had...

Re: 2001 L300 Heater Core/Hose Leak

So I brought out my kitchen knife, socket wrench and bought a $2 hose clamp at the local parts store. 15 minutes later, the hose is back on the fitting at the firewall, without the quick-connector,...

Re: 2001 L300 Heater Core/Hose Leak

It was difficult for me to find the exact part #, but if you decide to replace the entire hose, the part number is ACDelco 22703745 and it is the "inlet heater hose." $12-15 shipped on ebay and...

Re: 2001 L300 Heater Core/Hose Leak

I have only found a leak at the firewall in the engine compartment, where firewall has 2 connections to the engine. I am pretty sure it is the outflow line, as it is the one on the right. Regardless,...

Re: 2001 L300 Heater Core/Hose Leak

Is there a recommendation against using this above advertised...

Re: 2001 L300 Heater Core/Hose Leak

Looks like following a GM dealer-induced oil leak, I now have a coolant leak at the firewall at the right Quick Release.

One method I found to fix this was replacing the entire line, with a...

Re: 2001 L200 Life Expectancy

This happened to me as well. Also, I had a strut mount go out, like 6 times in a row, and cause a similar clunking sound.

Re: L200 2003 Needs a new battery

Re: instrument dimmer and radio not working

I bought a new dimmer switch for $25 on Ebay. I would try rockauto or any second-hand resale website before paying $250 for a flipping switch (haha, get it?).

Re: Gas Filler Neck Recondotioning

Mine was replaced last week. The part was something Like $150, and supposedly mine was rusted through. Do you need to drop the tank for this repair, or does the filler just connect to a rubber hose?...
