Re: Any interest in floor mats?

The black mats are still drying, came out pretty well for their age.

Any interest in floor mats?

I have one beige (with an extra passenger mat) and one black/dark gray set of front floor mats. They're both in pretty decent shape, the usual worm/missing grip teeth and I also need to give the...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I drove about 40 minutes each direction during rush hour traffic to pickup a set of OEM Saturn front all weather floor mats from a guy with a 99SL2 that jumped timing. He was cool enough to just...

Re: Catalytic Converter fitment.....questions..

Nope, just the downpipe/cat. I use stainless steel fasteners for the exhaust anyway so it wasn't an issue that they weren't included.

Re: Catalytic Converter fitment.....questions..

The 99 DOHCs are a little weird. My 99 SL2 was built in June of 1999 and the aftermarket Magnaflow cat/downpipe didn't fit right. However, the Bosal I have on there now fits great. My SL2 is a...

Re: Windshield wiper arm cap.......I need one!

Should be able to find them at a junkyard, however I have a couple spares. Cost of shipping and they're yours.

Re: Thermal Exhaust

I second that, I'm very curious about the sound of it. The Walker stuff is decent, but it just doesn't last in the salt belt. I'd like to go with a Thermal R&D or OBX, but I don't want my Saturn...

Re: Modify my 94 SL2 from broken fender to unbroken!

There's a 94HCE at LKQ in Cincinnati. It was put on the lot on 8-26-19, website photos showed it intact with no body damage. Not too bad of a drive from Columbus to Cincinnati. :)

Re: Starter Motor Brands and New vs Reman

Quick question, what's wrong with your current starter? If the fuseable link has gone bad from corrosion, that's very easily repairable. About an inch of copper wire and 10 minutes of your time. ...

FS: Set of prothane dog bone mounts for S-series

I've had these in my 99 SL2 for the past 1,000 miles or so since my subframe replacement and have gone back to the OEM rubber mounts. Just too much vibration for my liking at idle. Great mounts...

Re: WTB: Lower bumper support and bumper cover.

Just updating this thread, I am no longer looking for a blackberry front bumper cover. I've finally found one after 4+ years of looking. Thank you everyone.

Re: Can anyone in Cincinnati do me a favor?

Well, I no longer need anyone in Cincinnati to do me a favor. A junkyard an hour away from me had a color matching front bumper cover. My four plus year search is over. :)

Can anyone in Cincinnati do me a favor?

So I've been looking for a replacement front bumper cover for my Blackberry 99 SL2 for a few years now. There's a Blackberry 99 SL2 at the Cincinnati U Pull & Pay on West Seymour that just got on...

Re: Rear drum brake adjustment

I have that tool as well, very handy to have. A word of caution with drum brakes, cut the pins holding the spring cups before using the puller. You can tear the pistons out of the wheel cylinders...

Re: Intermittent Starting Issue

Loose/dirty connections don't carry current as well. Disconnect and clean the battery terminals and for the extra mile, disconnect and clean the battery connections at the starter and alternator. I...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Today I gave my 99 a bath. Much shinier now, but I have to clay bar it and remove a bunch of the scratches to make it look even better. At some point I'd like to get the wheel refinished, but...

Re: Tech2 techies: Need some Tech2 help....

I don't know about the ION, but for the S-series the Tech 2 has a realtime misfire monitor that shows each cylinder and which one is misfiring. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar option...

Re: 99 SL1 radiator fan

I replaced mine with one from Rockauto. $30ish for the Four Seasons brand one, made in Canada too. Easy to replace, takes about an hour or so.

Re: !999 Sl2 AC condenser

You don't need to remove the radiator. The condenser is held to the radiator with two 10mm head bolts and once those are free the condenser slides off the mounting tabs on the radiator fan shroud. ...

Re: I purchased a clone Tech 2, ask me anything.

Nope, my 99 SL2 has cruise from day one. From what I've read it's pretty straightforward to add it with the Tech 2.

I've been using Centric's standard line of rotors with their posi-quiet ceramic extended wear pads. No complaints at all, quiet, very little brake dust produced and long service life on them. They...
