Re: Syncros or shift cable?

I'd also recommend putting a lubricant paste on any and all pivot joints. I used Permatex's grey brush on thick lube. I use it on the pivot balls and then I put the shifter into 2nd and lube both...

15" 235/75 wheels, tires and roof basket installed with pic

I got these off of a early 2000s Cherokee. The tires are a little worn but the wheels are nice and they have just a little bit of poke.

They're 235/75R15, Goodyear Wranglers. They're not very...

Re: Another A/C perspective--rad fan speed?

Interestingly enough I did some research and testing myself just the other day.

When engaging the AC on my 4cyl the fan would only blow at a low speed. I removed the fan relay cleaned the...

Re: Syncros or shift cable?

Very much so, that's also wquite a lot of graphite. I found that using a generous amount of Permatex's Anti-Seize Lube when the cables are fully exposed on both ends, (inside the cabin and on the...

Re: Chrome piece in grill

I worked at LKQ a few years ago and I know there was an aftermarket replacement for it.

I'd start there.

Re: V6 Airbag and Steering Wheel is Now Installed with Pics!!!

It should pending that the contacts on the replacement air bag are in good, functioning shape.

Most VUE bags/wheels are a direct fit. Be careful with the clock spring and all airbag wiring. If it...

Re: 2006 Vue shift knob mod

You can certainly try, however that knob seems tremendously out of place in the VUE interior. I'd try to find a vehicle in similar time period. however, in theory it should work all the same. Your...

Re: Did I get ripped off

Advance sells the hub ranging anywhere from $125 - $178, and you can usually get a 30% off coupon for it. With that said, if you had a bolt(s) break or if you hub was frozen on and it had to be...

Re: Rear Main Seal Leak?

UPDATE: Still a minor leak solvent did not help. Still just wiping up daily and laying a rag down. I can more than live with this.

Re: New Style Console and Momo Shift Knob Install

There is no rewiring needed. It's a literal bolt and unbolt process. The old style (read as '05) factory plug will plug into the new style harness on the console from an 06-07. All I had to do was...

I picked up some Valvoline 10w-30 High Mileage Full Synthetic along with some Blue Devil Rear Main Seal repair. Fluids swapped and I've got to say, I had to fight every urge in my body to put the...

Re: Rear Main Seal Leak?

I've used 5w30 synthetic blend for some time, and I have added Lucas Oil engine additive to try to control the drip. I do need an oil change, I'll try 10-30 with a can of Blue Devil Rear Main sealer....

Rear Main Seal Leak?

Ugh... constant weeping from the inspection joke in the transmission. It's definitely engine oil.

I've already put in a new clutch kit, slave cylinder, resurfaced flywheel, then a year later I had...

Re: No dash lights after stereo install

The orange wire is a factory dimmer, not needed IIRC. I'd check to see if if there isn't a dimmer fuse blown or the actual dimmer switch on the dash is turned all the way to the left.
