I'm thinking 2 possibilities : 1) 2nd Gear Solenoid is not getting energized. (That would probably set a code.) 2) 3rd Gear Solenoid stuck closed. Solenoid is de-energized for 3rd - it's a normally...

It's called COOLER PIPE - GM 22686174

Re: 2003 V6 3.0L; Oil leaking; What's this called?

Those lines carry tranny fluid to and from the tranny fluid cooler. Looks like an ATF leak - not oil.

Re: Bad Brake Rotor Challenge

No doubt from states that don't require annual safety inspections. In NY they will fail you if the rotors look a little rusty.

Re: CV Axle replacement: transmission fluid replacement question

PS - you would be well-advised not to let any "Quickie Lube" type place change your Oil Filter. They invariably over-tighten the cap, it jams, and you wind up with a major repair on your hands. ...

Re: Used transmission installed, but shift pattern is wrong.

And you're not getting any trouble codes? Btw - you never said what original symptoms you had that prompted the tranny replacement.

PS - if you are actually stuck in 2nd gear, that could mean...

Re: 2003 Vue with a serious vibration

When this happened on my '03 it turned out to be a bad Brake Hose that didn't let the Caliper release. The dragging Brakes cause heat build-up, warped the Rotor which caused some serious vibration.

Re: New valve body now no reverse!

I wouldn't say that. May mean the mechanical part of the VB is bad. You had Reverse with the original VB. Isn't carsaturn gonna send you another VB?

Re: New valve body now no reverse!

Whenever you replace a VB or Solenoid, the PCM has to relearn the "adaptives". After you install a different VB, you will get some harsh shifting until this is accomplished. Here is a page from the...
