Re: Oil reset NOT working
Speed does not matter. Length of travel does. MUST go all the way from foot off the pedal UP to floorboard down. Most people in their hurry will miss the all the way down part, or all the way up on...

Re: Cant Read computer on a 2004 Saturn Vue
Fuse is the best place to start, the one on my 2005 blew once for no apparent reason and I never knew until I tried to check for pending codes while doing some maintenance. Also, although memory...

Re: Canister Purge Valve Solenoid
I can think of basically no scenario where a bad CCPS would prevent you from being able to drive the car until the part arrives. You can merely plug the vacuum hose and drive happy ( Service Engine...

Re: Anyone here Use SAFECO Auto Insurance
SAFECO for close to 5 years. No increases. Only claim I ever had was for a windshield on the F150. ( comprehensive ) Was repaired, in my parking lot at work, less than 24 hours later. For zero...

Re: Tune up for a Saturn Vue
Yeah $300 is insane.
Is the Service Engine Soon ( SES ) light on?
If No..
a "tune up" amounts to little more than 4 new spark plugs ( about $20 tops ) maybe an air filter and maybe a new...

Re: What can this be
Hint: Do as I do.. I keep the old rotors when I replaced them. Next time it is "time" I just take the old ones down and have them turned. Then remove / replace with new pads... keeping the...

Re: Heater Core Hoses
I'd be willing to bet it is a blend door issue. The "S" series heater cores always have coolant flowing through them. Discharge HVAC air temp is controlled by the blend door which is opened or...

Re: Here we go again :(
Last time I checked, the 2.2 doesn't have spark plug wires in the conventional sense.
Pull the coil packs off and look for oil seepage in the plug wells. They must be dry. If found.. cam cover...

Re: SL1 Speedometer Cable Noise?
My first guess would be it is related to the power brake vacuum booster. Mounted to the firewall right on the other side of the driver's position in the car. An aging unit can occasionally groan,...

Re: Overheating @ 7 degrees outside!!
Exactly. I have seen many many cars with radiators full of slush and overheating engines due to weak anti-freeze. Basically, the radiator keeps the slush cool, not allowing it to thaw any further,...

Re: Wheel Bearing Noise Comparison
That old rotor now has 3 Vue wheel bearings to it credit..only the one on mine. Its become a tool I lend out. LOL
Happens to the best of them I guess. 107,000 miles I had to replace the right...
