I have used a label maker to mark all the wires. I did it on the first drive train I pulled. After the first one though, you figure it out, and Saturn was pretty good about making all the connectors...

Are the electrical connectors the same on a 2002 SL2 as a 98 SL or SW2??


I'm wondering if I can use an early lock complete on the later model....

And it' s sooooo much fun to get to....

What I do now ( I usually pull the drivetrain out the bottom) is cut the wires a couple of feet from the connector and install a set of polarized...

The best thing to prevent or stop rust is a big oil leak soaking everything down...

My dad - is big on soaking the undercarriage, the bottom of doors, pretty much anything you don't want...

I have a " bit" of experience - as my SO and I just bought Saturn #14.


Do yourself a favor. Go to Walmart or other big box store and buy a cheap wall mirror, and affix a 3 foot handle to one...

Just got my latest acquisition home - 1997 SL2.

Got it cheap. Lots of good parts. Pristine interior. Recent repaint.

Story was he ran it out of oil. Used car hauler and brought home.

You will need to reinforce the frame from just aft of the subframe, all the way back to just forward of the rear wheels. 1 1/2 square tube - .093 wall, should do the trick. The roof is a stressed...

Now it's barking out P0341 and P0410.

2002 SL2.
P0340 - reset code. Light stays out til car is warmed up, shut off and restarted. Then CEL comes on.

Followed post on diagnosis.
New plugs. New plug wires.

Replaced coils with good...

I recently redid the rear lines on our 93 SC2 with stainless - one piece from the master cylinder all the way to the flex lines....

I don't recommend stainless to the faint of heart or the...

No mistaken.

I spent an afternoon detailing the engine compartment with degreaser and a toothbrush when I had the drivetrain out. I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed the ABS.
Plus the rear drum...

My SO hit a deer with the 96 SC2. Relatvely minor. It took out the passenger's side front fender, bent back the headlight cover, tweaked the antenna and ( worst) cracked the windshield we had...
