Oh... I thought it was the L series with the 3.0 that was the worst Saturn ever, or the 2.2 Ecotec timing chains in the L or Ions, weren't those the worst ever? Or was it the diff pin in the S...

Re: Considering buying 2005 Relay

I actually own an '06 Relay-3...

So far the actual problems are the front upper strut mounts, the driver side sliding door needs to be adjusted, and the rear shocks needed to be replaced... shrug....

Is your Relay actually AWD(real axle going into the rear wheel)?

Does it have the pneumatic ride leveling system(rubber boots around the rear shocks where they telescope)?

Re: ******* teenager walked on top of my car and dented roof and hood

My guess is the headliner sags because he pushed on it to pop up the roof panel... once that old foam gets crushed, it turns to dust, the glue can no longer hold it up.

Re: 2.2 Ecotec Power steps

Considering that the stock dyno line shows a very rich condition and the product dyno line shows an obviously better tuned AFR, I would be interested what just a PCM tune on a stock intake would...

Re: L 300 Performance. Inspired by the LW youtube vid

The L81, while being the same basic motor, is hardly worthy of being called an X30XE... :snide:

Re: Top Problems In LW300?

The point being made here is that the engine in the L series is not the same as the Catera engine; its not RWD, has a completely different induction system and is down 20HP :p The only problems on...

Re: Youtube Video on a 2000 Saturn LW2

I have to agree that the L81 is one sexy V6... I can't think of another engine that GM made that they didn't just give up and cover it with plastic. :hmpf:

Great video!

Re: Hello and first problem

Just for reference most modern engine management systems will not allow the car to redline if in park or neutral... they will limit by fuel cut or spark retard so that you will only get up to...

Awesome... :D Nothing like a definitive repair result to reinstate trust in a vehicle after a brakedown. Good job on not falling for repair shop douchebaggery. :hmpf:

Re: HELP HELP L300 V6 broken engine part/pics included

That is a vacuum line with a check valve that you broke. It looks like you snapped the hose barb off and you will need to get a new check valve, you will also have to get the barb out of the vacuum...

Re: X30XE Swap into 2003 L300?

Because the real 3.0 made over 200HP... they just detuned it for us. :hothead: Sure was thoughtful of them. :snide:

Re: my 2002 l200 is blowing white/grey smoke out of the tailpipe

My first thought is evaporating condensation in the exhaust system at start up, this is normal.

Is it cold where you live right now? One of the components of exhaust gas is water... so you are...

Re: LS 200 cooling system maintenance

Hoses and flushing should be easy, I know the thermostat on a 3.0 is PITA but I don't know on the Ecotec...

I just got my factory service manual DVD... I will look it up when I get home...

Re: Sale of SAAB and why it's good news for Saturn L owners
