Re: L200 2002 won't stay on running
A key to GMs Passlock security and whether its working or not is the yellow car with oversize padlock indicator. Seeing it turn on then off with all the other instrument panel lights/indicators when...

In the interests of accuracy, below are copies from GMs online owners manuals. This one came from the '04 L-series owner's manual.

Re: L200 2002 won't stay on running
Unfortunately, you may be describing another repair shop that simply replaces parts on your dime, hoping to hit the right solution while making money whether or not a solution is found. Sorry, but...

Re: L200 vs Ion, Which is better?
I like pierrot's comparison analysis of the same engine used in the Ion, Vue, and many other GM models (2.2L ecotec engine).
One (possibly) troubling point with Ions is their recalled ignition...

Re: Stalling Issue
Try a fuel pressure check since you have no record of fuel filter replacement and do not know if there's a fuel pump issue. Guessing can become costly in several ways.
The 2.2L engines are known...

Re: need wiring help
If no one can offer wiring info, you can still make educated guesses.
The crank sensor is the most important sensor - it generates precise timing signals to the ecm/pcm. No crank sensor timing...

Re: 1999 SC1 Heater Problem
As a new member and unfamiliar with S-series engines, some major caveats are mentioned in the first 'sticky' of these forums.
1- if your temperature gauge needle hovers over the 1/4 mark, you may...

Re: Lost a part while driving!!
With new info, apparently an extra bung hole was plugged with something when it blew off. The hot and cold cycling of exhaust systems probably loosened whatever was used. Tightening your replacement...

Re: Crank no start
With two ignition coil packs, it's not likely to have both fail at the same time but something in common to both. Spraying starting fluid means you're supplying fuel manually into throttle and...

You're familiar with the saying "don't fix what's not broken". No one, not even the manufacturer of mechanical or electronic parts can guarantee part operability beyond the factory warranty. My...

Re: Crank no start
What resistance did you see on your crank sensor? Between 700-1200 ohms?
Tried spraying starting fluid into throttle then starting? Seeing fuel pressure doesn't tell you if injectors are...

Ions have two oxygen (O2) sensors on the exhaust system - one before the catalytic converter and the other one after the catcon. If the snapshot shows the engine exhaust manifold and shield on the...

Re: 03 3.0 overheated
Not an expert on engines. When I had the oil cap off with engine idling, I didn't see much in the way of excessive oil being flung off the camshaft. My engine doesn't consume oil, most likely due to...
