Re: circuit question B post continuity to ground

Are you flying blind or have wiring diagrams? Are you aware of Ions using electronic starting? Conventional starting circuits are 'old school' with 12v from (heavy duty) ignition switches sent to the...

Re: Saturn modification questions

It's easy to speculate on fuel pressure. It may be difficult to connect a fuel pressure gauge to assess actual pressure without some imagination. With your setup (presuming a flexible fuel line to...

Re: Surging and very high compression

Since his snapshot shows 50mph@wot(99%) and 1800 rpm, it would be helpful to duplicate the same with your car then take a snapshot of map value.

Re: Battery drain on l100

The starter appears to look normal. Perhaps the next time a snapshot is posted, place notes away from the object to prevent obscuring it or turn the cellphone so the image won't be obscured by notes...

Re: 2002 saturn vue 2.2 manual intermittent stalling

^ good idea if engine/chassis grounds are suspect. There should be two main grounds; battery negative to chassis and chassis to engine block. All other ground connections are based on these two main...

Re: Surging and very high compression

I'm curious about scangauge readings. Does your scangauge display the same map value@50mph, 1800rpm? Comparing values from two readers of the same make and model is always better than one reading...

Re: 2002 saturn vue 2.2 manual intermittent stalling

The crank sensor wiring should be ok if rewired but if in doubt you might have to try jiggling wires while the engine idles. Push, pull, flex wiring along its length to see if a poor repair allows...

Re: 2002 saturn vue 2.2 manual intermittent stalling

Overall, there may be at least three things to consider with an intermittent random engine shutdown; faulty fuel, faulty ignition (spark) and faulty crank sensor. All three are difficult to test as...

Re: 2006 Vue Remote Issues

When ecm or bcm are replaced, they must be 'married' in a relearn procedure as both are part of Saturn's Passlock anti theft system. Was the 30 minute relearn procedure performed? This must be...
