Re: Reverse light switch?

I know what you mean, it sucks not having those lights. As I recall the switch threads into the back of the tranny and has a connector on the end for the sensor wire. It was really quick and easy to...

Re: Reverse light switch?

Hey, OVB. Long time...

Just happened to see your post here. Did you get the reverse light switch replaced? I had to do mine a couple years ago after it developed the same symptoms. Fortunately...

Re: Rubber Bushing Squawks

1saxman, I'm curious whether your T-9 solution has provided lasting results. If so I may pick some up. Can you give us an update?

Re: 5-spd manual shifting problem

That was perfect, thank you! I got the old cables out. The one is super stiff! No wonder I had trouble shifting. Now off to put it all back together again... :)

Re: 5-spd manual shifting problem

Indeed I found graphite or whatever built up where the shift cables meet the shifter. I also found that I could manually change the gears at the transmission shift tower with relative ease compared...

5-spd manual shifting problem

Helloo saturn people! I haven't been here to online saturn-land for a loooooong time, but I still have my VUE and it's been pretty much problem-free until now. It's a 2003 with 75k miles.

A couple...

Re: Peanut butter shifter

I wasn't thinking about the ball joint; I was worried the problem was closer to the transmission. I pulled off the boot and was moving the shifter all around and when I drove it later it felt fine. I...

Re: 2008 VUE pictures!!!

I think I might. Depending on the QC.

For instance; I trust German engineering, but a lot of VW's made in Mexico or South America were crap.

Attention Peanut butter shifter

That is the best way I can describe it. Yesterday I was driving the VUE and all was well until I came out of a store and started home and noticed the shifter felt funny. I wouldn't say that I had...

Re: No Manual and can't find spare tire

Yeah, it's going to have mag-lev wheels. Hope they start putting down that new magnetic asphalt soon...

Re: windshield washer problem.

Could simply be a bad pump. I've never seen it in a VUE but I replaced one in my wife's car last year-- same symptoms.

Re: Last Payment!!!

Nice. I bet that does feel good :)
I owe 20 payments/~$3000 still. I would just pay it off if it weren't for the 0.0% financing... there's no point.

Re: Vue turn signal assistance

I think the thing that makes the noise is in the center of the dash near the central air vents. After some warranty serivce when my VUE was newer, mine was evidentally making contact with the vent...

Re: a 2004 Saturn Vue that hit a utility pole.

Yeah, looks like it hit roof-first. That one probably took some talent

Re: Old VUE owners slighted!

You have the 3.5L Honda engine, so there isn't much the newer models have besides styling updates and some interior tweaks.

I don't actually like the new front end. I'm proud to have the "older...

Re: New Curt Hitch Installed

The 3.5L V6 is actually rated for 3500lbs. I think the reason for the disparity is torque. Or lack of it, for the 2.2L. You can probably safely pull more than 1500lbs with the 2.2 as long as you...

Re: Want new Factory Speakers???

I saw that the 2006 did have aux input but I wasn't sure about 2005. That would be the only reason I would consider putting in a different stock head unit. Oh well.

Re: Since when?

France, Germany, England... it's funny they are all made in Europe. I'm surprised they aren't made in China or somewhere else in Asia.

Re: When have others been replacing their Bridgestone Dulers?

That depends... do you drive like me? ;)

So far so good with my Pirelli Scorpian STR's -- no sign of wear -- but with under 10k on them it's too early to tell.

Re: Saturn car wiki?

Saturnfans is foremost a discussion forum. You can post how-to's, diagrams, etc but they easily get lost in the mix, even if you do have search. Also, you can't edit older posts so if you want to...
