Re: Saturn Was Also a Different Kind of Manufacturer

^ Funny you should mention that, Mike. Loved working at a Caddy dealer early in my career, big focus on customer service there (back in the early 90's, it was alot of WWII and Korea vets around the...

Re: Look for help, what do I get?

Re: Editorial on the whole GM/Saturn debate

From what I have been told by some folks that were there, Saturn's books were in the black by 1994. At that point, they were used as a bank for other divisions' debts, and alot of high level number...

Re: Editorial on the whole GM/Saturn debate

The author made a few really good points, but boned it on a couple, too. Mainly not noting the vast difference in how the Olds versus the S car are structured...

Re: Doomed Saturns, Hummers make assembly-line curtain calls

Well, if you're talking to someone who is assigning value to the vehicle by way of a "rare" paint color, the repaint is worthless. The paint code contained in the RPO list will give it away as an...

Re: What is the worst Saturn ever made?

Relay, period.

I see every service order over the parts counter, and have been here since far before these ever came off the trucks. So yeah, can say with some certainty and credibility.

Re: You're ignoring the upside

Doubt he would have put up any factories here in the US, true (seems now the only reason for any company to do so is getting huge backroom considerations from government officials who want to run for...

Re: Saturn dealerships stay in orbit

Many a time I've been told (and seen it in action) that sales turns the lights on, fixed ops pays the electric bill. A dealership can have great fixed ops numbers, but if they aren't moving cars, the...

Re: Flashback Friday: When GM Gave Birth to Saturn

Hear ya there, SalemCat, a sentiment that is shared by many. Had they left well enough alone, there's a good chance Saturn would still be here, and a strong contributor to GM's coffers. The designs,...

Re: Welcome ImSaturn Members

Re: L200 Brake Parts

1. Is there any likelihood of beeing able to turn the rotors, or are the OEM rotors thin to being with, and likely to need replaced after 32k miles?

32K on stock rotors is not that much, but it is...
