In the meantime; I...

Re: best way to sell a saturn that needs a lot of repairs (2001 SL1)

Woah... slow down there. The "issues" you are describing; could be very simple fixes- WITHOUT you scrapping the car or even selling. 170K miles is very low on these cars (look at the mileage on my...

You can also check the engine on the car and the bell housing of the transmission where it mates with the Engine Block. That location will be printed in Dot Matrix Numbers, just south of the Spark...

Re: Oil pressure light on

What year is your car?

Did you do a Compression Check across the Cylinders, which I think is what billr is referring to.

Compression across all 4 cylinders should be at a baseline of 185...

Re: Car crashed into Rear of Saturn SL 2

What year is your SL2?

There is a bit of difference between 1st and 2nd/3rd Gen Cars, especially when it comes to the body design. $3000 to repair? That is very much on the high side, given...

Re: Leaking Transmission fluid, badly

How many quarts are you talking in a month?

The S-Series Automatic Transmission only has a holding capacity of 7 quarts.

The obvious sign would be that the Auto Trans Filter is not screwed in...

Not *too* difficult to replace; but can be time consuming. If you have the tools; it can be done on a weekend day.

Here is one video I found- with walkthrough on...

Re: valve cover gasket

Maybe re-enforcing the gasket? That is the only thing I can think of...

If it were me- I would probably put some additional beading of gasket maker to enforce the premade gasket.

As an...

Re: Parting Out 96 SC2 In Black Gold Color + Many More S Series Parts, Various Years

Can you verify if the button is in good shape. Not to be nitpicky- but it looks like there may be a small hairline crack on the top of the button in the picture next to the spring?

The only...

Re: parting out my SL1

Do you still have this car?

I'm in need of the interior parking brake lever with the button. It's held in with a single phillips head screw.

If it's available- let me know.

Thank you.

Re: 1998 Saturn SW2 won't start
