Re: Lowest mileage L series in existence ?

Thanks for that information.

It's apparent that Saturn installed more of the 3.0's in the later wagons. The 2.2's are not nearly as common. Lot's of 2.2's in the 2000-2002 model years....

Re: LW300 center mount stop light problem?

^^^^ This housing is very easy to break. After breaking several of mine, I found that a flat putty knife can be slid under the cover to depress the metal clips. There are 2 of these clips.

If...

Re: Saturn LW300 L. front door speaker removal

^^ A 2 on the difficulty scale is pretty accurate. It's a little bit fiddly at points but not bad. Just take your time.

Re: Saturn LW300 L. front door speaker removal

You can replace the speaker without taking the whole panel off. Look at the bottom of the door panel. There you find 3-4 phillips head screws. Remove those screws and pop off the door panel clips...

Re: Mystery oil leak on passenger side of engine area.

Very good point Waiter 21 Vacuum on the valve cover might not be correct. An open and unrestricted port would be more accurate. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Mystery oil leak on passenger side of engine area.

Waiter 21 brings up a very good possibility. Try this: Take a thin piece of paper(dollar bill) etc. Start the engine and hold it up to the fitting on the valve cover. The paper should flutter. ...

Re: bulbs, tire rotation and dirty tricks

FWIW, Front to back and vise versa is the best method for rotating radial tires. The "X" method worked fairly well for bias ply tires back in the day and did lead to max. tread life

Radial tires...
