headliner

The fabric is beginning to pull away from the cardboard substrate in the area of the airbags. Can I use some sort of spray or roll on adhesive without compromising airbag deployment?
Thanks
David

Re: 2006 Vue 2.2 Big oil leak

Great write up! In post 6, it is stated that bolts pass through the pan into the case. Is this the way for manual transmission vehicles too?

Re: Wonky Steering

Over inflated tires are going to wear more around their equator. When the tires are returned to recommended pressure, the wear would be one continuous cup.

Re: Blower Resistor advice

Thanks for sharing the conclusion. I read a lot of the forum for help with my own fixes and often the solution isn't posted.

Re: Does GM really need two brands of trucks?

Are they both built on the same line? Or in the same city? Perhaps GM is thinking (this one time only) of keeping the jobs around.

You may want to consider auxiliary lighting, too.

Re: Oil leak 2004 Saturn vue

Before you start throwing parts at it, try to find the leak. Clean up engine and add some dye to crankcase. Using a UV light, look for areas of leakage. These dyes are available at most parts...

Re: 2005 Vue Leaking Hyrdolic Fluid - Best Option?

I agree. Hardest part is probably shimmying under the dash and disconnecting/reconnecting it from the pedal.

Re: 2005 Vue Leaking Hyrdolic Fluid - Best Option?

Labor rates are based solely on values in a service manual. They are usually inflated. I don't think the engine has to be touched to repair the hydraulics. There is plenty of room to work.

Re: 2005 Vue Leaking Hyrdolic Fluid - Best Option?

I don't think so. A dry reservoir, puddle of fluid and soft pedal are compelling evidence of a leak somewhere in the system. You say a pool of fluid is on the floor, whose floor? The shops garage...

Re: 2005 Vue Leaking Hyrdolic Fluid - Best Option?

Only if your clutch is worn out. Clutch replacement has got to be expensive; I have never had to do it. I believe the hydraulic system can be repaired without digging into the transaxle so there is...

Re: 2005 Vue Leaking Hyrdolic Fluid - Best Option?

You need to determine exactly what fluid the puddle is. Check fluid levels in master and slave cylinders, Changing the cables does not have anything to do with the slave cylinder. It is always...

Re: Suitable Map Light Switch Replacement?

I had the same problem. Got a replacement at the pick-n-pull for less than $10. Pretty easy swap. If you have sunroof and/or OnStar make sure you get part from donor vehicle with option(s).

TB vs carb cleaner

What is the difference? I was getting my generator ready for Matthew and saw both at AutoZone. I haven't yet sprayed a TB, but in the old days I hosed quite a few carbs. I am guessing that TB...
