Re: If Saturn was still in business....

I don't see a place for Saturn in GM's new automotive order.

Chevy = volume
Buick/GMC = upgrade
Cadillac = premium

I still think GM should shrink to two brands, either Chevy/Buick-GMC...

Re: If Saturn was still in business....

The Captiva Sport looked similar to the Vue, but was not the Vue of the late aughts. The European Opel on which the Captiva Sport was based was restyled for 2010.

Chevy put the Captiva (2012-15)...

Re: General Motors to Build V8 Engines at the Former Saturn Plant in Spring Hill, Ten

Saw this on LLN. This is good news. The XT5 (current SRX) will also be made here, or at least that's what I had been hearing. I don't know if that is still the case.

That flexible manufacturing...

Re: Gas price around the country?

2.15/gal and cost $34.50 to fill up my Altima . That's not a typo. 34.50 for 16.5 gallons of 87 octane regular. I never thought I'd see the day that happened again. A used S or ION would...

Re: New Buick Astra spotted. For real this time

By the time that Opel hatch is certified for our consumption, Honda will introduce a Civic 5-door Focus fighter and Subaru will unveil their freshened Impreza, which has a side profile that bears...

Re: 10 Years and Beyond...

Subaru and Nissan. I'm on my 3rd Altima. Both of the former Saturn owners in my family went with Foresters when their cars gave up the ghost.

FWIW, your L-Series looks mint for a vehicle that's...

'04 Ion wrecked

Time to change my signature. There are now no more Saturns in my family - unless one of us has the good fortune to 'rescue' one along the way and the money to keep it maintained and running.

It's...

Re: Saturn Craigslist Deal of the Day!

Coupe lovers! (https://longisland.craigslist.org/cto/4662039256.html) I want to say it's an SC2. 130 MPH speedometer and alloy wheel design gives it away. Kings Park, NY, is a twenty minute drive...

Re: Spring Hill on the rebound?

A much needed boost for SH manufacturing! I was hoping the Buick Envision would be included, but apparently that vehicle is exclusively for the Chinese market, which is now the world's largest.

Re: Saturn Craigslist Deal of the Day!

Low mileage is always a good hook! :D

Cosmetically no blemishes on the outside. But it doesn't look like it was babied or a garage queen. ...

Correct about the box you lost in the accident housing the air filter. Sharp eye!

My brother's Ion3 was hit on the front driver's side corner over the weekend. (At least the driver who hit him left their insurance info.) At night it didn't look bad, but when the sun came out, I...

Re: Quick Spin: 2013 Opel Adam

No disrespect towards the Adam, it's a nice subcompact about the size of a Nissan Juke, Fiat 500 or Mini Cooper, but Chevy already has two entries in the Spark and Sonic and the Adam really doesn't...

Wagons anyone?

A clean '95 SW1 with less than 100K? This one's (http://longisland.craigslist.org/cto/4246134043.html)barely broken in! XD

I know exactly how you feel. That first blemish on a steel-bodied car sucks, regardless of how it happens.

On the used Nissan Altima I am currently financing, there is a deep scuff mark on the...

It is sad, irish56. And Chevy's ambitious plan to go global would have affected Opel/Vauxhall/Holden abroad the same way it affected Pontiac and Saturn here. While I am no fan of articles from...

Re: A Chevy So Exclusive That You Can Only Borrow, Not Buy

You may not be able to buy them brand spanking new, but when they come off fleet, they're up for grabs. I've seen a few used off-fleet Captiva Sport models for sale in my area.

The Captiva Sport...

Re: The Vauxhall Astra VXR Is Like A 279 Horsepower Saturn From Hell

Thanks for the read, Charlie.

For the Astra VXR to come virtually unchanged to North America at all would be an amazing feat for the resurgent General to achieve.

IMO, the VXR has more...

Charlie, sorry, but Detroit News says the link is broken. The story must be more than a week old.

I'll speculate that the vehicle to come to SH is the midsize global Buick CUV that spy...

Re: Why did saturn fail?

Saturn did not fail so much as become expendable (hence its 'red-haired step child' status) in the eyes of GM, which will one day become Chevy and Cadillac. Buick-GMC still exists as a mid-range...

Re: How many miles on YOUR Saturn Ion?

Not mine, but my brother's:

2004 ION3 Special Edition sedan, 2.2L, automatic, 120K as of 7/1/13.
(bought with 34K miles in 2007)
