Re: 1996 engine swap.

ok.. I think I know what you were saying, but I read that post three times and that's a lot to sort out. :hmpf:

Re: 1996 engine swap.

I thought there was some modification needed to make a 2nd gen intake manifold work on a 3rd gen head/motor?

With the common issue with the plastic intake coolant pipe bursting, why don't more...

Re: 99 SL1, 5spd with stumble/hesitation

I am pretty sure it was a bad wire, since I know I had an issue with the #1 wire right out of the box. I just don't have time to jack around with it. This car is my "airport runner" that will be...

Re: 99 SL1, 5spd with stumble/hesitation

I am pretty sure I solved it.

I did end up swapping out the EGR valve with one from a car that was running well (as of a couple months back). I like the idea of making a block off plate, but I...

99 SL1, 5spd with stumble/hesitation

99' SL1 / 5sp, that had a 33d gen SOHC motor swapped in a few years back. ~70k miles with little to no issues (FWIW).

I recently had to pull the motor to repair broken power steering mount holes....

I had to pretty much disconnect everything on the drivetrain to elevate the motor enough to get clear access to the broken bolt holes. :upset:

Good news: I got one broken bolt out with...

PS Pump-to-block bolts stripped/broken

Like the title says.... '99, SL1, I was just replacing some random stuff on the car for my kids to use, and noticed the PS pump (bracket) looked a bit odd.

Of the three bolts... 1 was sheered...
