Well, as much as I love my Vue XR I think I am going to get rid of it for something more reliable. It scares me that the dealer cannot find the problem with it slipping in reverse, and the warranty...

After I had the 6T70 transmission in my '08 Vue XR rebuilt, it has had an intermittent problem slipping in reverse. It doesn't do it every time I drive it, it might be every 3rd or 4th time I start...

Sounds like a wheel bearing, that is the first place I would look. When turning you are loading the bearings differently and the fact that the growl changes when turning makes me think wheel bearing.
