Re: SC2 - WS Wiper does not work except on Hi

My 99 sl2 wipers worked on high and intermittent, but not low.
Found this thread and sprayed the contact cleaner into the switch base and now all is fine. Thanks

Thanks for responding.

No, the engine acts normally.
The tach incrementally goes up to 8000 and beyond.

I don't really need the tach, but since it is there would be nice to have it work...

Driving the other day, everything fine then tach started going higher and higher, ending beyond 8000 rpm.

Can you tell if a radio has been activated?

I just got a 99 SL2 with AM/FM/Cassette Theft deterrent radio.

Is there some way you can tell if the radio has been activated with the system?

If so, is there a way to find out what the code is...

Re: Mild rattling sound at idle, then buzzing

I changed fluid and filter.

It was a red Saturn filter, but no magnet inside.
Fluid looked pretty good.

There is buzz from valve body area at times.
I don't like noises, but guess I'll have...

Re: Mild rattling sound at idle, then buzzing

Great!!
That was it.

One headlight was rattling.

Thanks

Re: Mild rattling sound at idle, then buzzing

Any idea on the mild buzzing that developed, apparently after adding the pint and a half of transmission fluid?
That sounds like it is coming from transmission area.

Thanks

Re: Had new resonator installed - $95

Didn't hear anything, so I went to local muffler shop.

Confirmed what I found and said:

1. Do nothing.
2. Replace resonator with straight pipe - $50
3. Replace resonator with 26" "Glass Pak"...

Re: 99 SL2 Resonator - Fix or Replace?

Here are a couple of pictures.
One is of the entire resonator.
Second is the end, where you can see a crack/opening on the right side of the seam. Could this be just welded?

Also, most exhaust...

Re: What would cause car to sound very loud inside cabin? (not the exhaust)

I just bought a 99 SL2 with 24,000 miles on it. Southern California senior citizen owned.
There is a exhaust leak when it first starts up, that goes away in a couple of miles. The noise returns if...
