In older cars where the water pump was easily accessible (v8 or v6 or even 4 cyls mounted north-south), we would always remove the thermostat before flushing. that way, u did not have to be concerned...

The links are fine. I was using an e-torx socket to remove the front bolt. I have open end/boxed end wrenches. looks like it would be a 10 or 11 mm 12 point wrench. I am not...

If u have no problem shifting into !st gear from a dead stop, then perhaps u are experiencing a syncro problem.

I had the front end jacked up and stands in place. I removed the wheels & sway bar links (which are still good) on both sides . There is no room to place the ratchet + socket onto the rear bolts.

I just purchased a set of Toyo Proxes 4 Plus for my '08 astra xr 2dr 5spd. One of the original Hankook tires, driver's side had an 8" split on the face and a bulge on the inward side of the tire....

original owner, 56000km. under warranty, gm has replaced the flex pipe & roof trim. however, the front sway bar bushings are shot.

sway bar is stock & probably 22mm but will check with my gauge.
links also have same age and did not check them but will do. will also check the rear.

When u guys bleed your brake system using a power bleeder, do u jack up the rear end so that the m/c is parallel to the ground and do u have the brake pedal partially depressed in position?

car built in feb 2008, purchased in june 2008. still have original battery. u are lucky to get 5 years out of an original battery. let's hope it lasts at least another year or so.
