Re: AC R134A Small Leak on Low Pressure Schrader Valve

I bought a pair of them from eBay for $22 shipped. One for the high pressure side and one for the low pressure side. While it's nice to have individual tools for each pressure side, having an...

FS: 2nd gen leather upgrade package

Hey guys, looking to sell this as a package deal. Originally was going to swap these into my 99SL2 after hitting 200k, but I've changed my mind. Included in the package is a leather steering wheel,...

Re: There's a 2001 SWP on Facebook marketplace in Dayton, OH

Good video, that's pretty much how I'd repair it provided there's enough solid structure to attach to. For that SWP, the picture doesn't show much of the surrounding area so it's a bit difficult to...

There's a 2001 SWP on Facebook marketplace in Dayton, OH

Lewisburg Ohio to be exact, but close enough to Dayton. The seller is asking $500 or best offer since it needs some work. Intake gasket, power steering line and a rusted rear trailing arm mount. ...

Re: S-Series Mileage Milestones 100k 150k 200k 250k and beyond

It took 21 years, but my 99 SL2 hit 200k today. Bought it brand new in July of 1999 from Saturn of Middleburg Heights (building is gone, knocked down and built an Audi dealership on the lot) with 10...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Did a routine oil and filter change and also pulled the rotors off and removed the rust from the hubs. It had some vibration at highway speeds that was improved significantly when I knocked down the...

Re: Has anyone else experienced this caliper issue?

Hmm, entirely possible it's the flex hose as they're all original. I do have braided stainless flex lines that I'll be replacing them with when I replace all the hard lines. I'll have to see if...

Has anyone else experienced this caliper issue?

So I've had to replace my front calipers a couple times over the years, most recent being today. Every single time I've replaced them, I've had to vacuum bleed the driver's side caliper to get a...

Re: How long to fix serpentine belt in SL2?

Yeah, that guy is definitely trying to rob you blind. Replacing the tensioner, idler pulley and serpentine belt takes maybe 30 minutes if you're going at it quickly, at most an hour. Tensioner is...

Any interest in leather steering wheels?

My local Pull-a-part has two leather steering wheels available. One from a 95 SC2 (so sad to see that in the yard) and a 99 SC2. They're both in really good shape, definitely need a cleaning, but...

I'm glad things got fixed, I'd hate to see this forum die as it's a huge source of great information for people. However, there does need to be a bit more moderation to keep things like this from...

Re: Wanted -- Someone with tech2 in Dayton, OH area

Yeah the rust up here is a pain. I had to torch out a bolt on wheel hub from my mom's Forester over the summer. It would not come out of the knuckle. I'm not looking forward to doing the other one.

Same here, I'd gladly volunteer my time to help keep the forum spam free. This place is a great resource for people. It would be a shame for it to die.

Any interest in floor mats?

I have one beige (with an extra passenger mat) and one black/dark gray set of front floor mats. They're both in pretty decent shape, the usual worm/missing grip teeth and I also need to give the...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I drove about 40 minutes each direction during rush hour traffic to pickup a set of OEM Saturn front all weather floor mats from a guy with a 99SL2 that jumped timing. He was cool enough to just...

Re: Catalytic Converter fitment.....questions..

Nope, just the downpipe/cat. I use stainless steel fasteners for the exhaust anyway so it wasn't an issue that they weren't included.
