Re: WTB: 5spd Transmission

I might have a spare differential at home, I'd have to check. But, if I do, I'd be happy to sell it for say $100. I'm in Milwaukee, so depending on where you are in Illinois, we could possibly meet...

Re: Skid plates for 02 SL2

Aren't TSD's typically just on roads?

Anyway, I don't think there are any skid plates that can just be bought. Just find a source for some 1/8"-1/4" (3-6mm for you foreigners, eh?) aluminum, cut...

Re: Need engine cradle for 97 SC1

Also, if the cradle rusted out, the bolts holding it in are going to be VERY corroded. Start spraying them now with PB Blaster and hope that the sheet metal nut holders don't just spread apart like...

Re: Front to rear weight ratio???

If it would help (I doubt it, but I'll offer anyway), I have the corner weights for a 92 SL2, fully caged and built to SCCA ITA specs. This car doesn't have the interior, so it may be a moot point....

Re: Welding question.

Do a search on the net for SS welding. I think (not 100% certain) that SS can be welded using MIG as long as the correct gas and wire is used, but I'm not 100% certain. TIG, if available, would...

Re: just need to know this quick

To remove a stock 5-speed shift knob:

1) Put on full face helmet.
2) Get in back seat with front seats pushed forward and the car shut-off with the e-brake set. Put the gear shift in 4th.
3) ...
