Re: Advice post accident

I ended up buying a 2011 Honda Ridgeline. Fuel economy isn't as good but it's a decent truck and meets my needs.

Re: Advice post accident

John- I'm shopping replacement rides. Repair quote came out right around the value of the vehicle so insurance totalled her out, sadly. Waiting on my payout of around 4k and currently driving a 2015...

Around 125k on the 06 3.5. Running well and we'll be packing on the miles for the next few months. 50/day minimum.

Re: 06 Vue roof rack options

A larger SUV is in consideration as well, but the Vue is paid for and has been extremely reliable. This would primarily be for shorter trips, where it would be minimal times on and off (long...

06 Vue roof rack options

I'll put this out there first. I've never had a vehicle with any kind of roof rack or needed one in the past, so all of my questions will likely be dumb however...

Our Vue just has the black...

Looking at tires for the 06 3.5. Any opinions on Falken tires? Good reviews on discount tire but no mention of winter handling.

Re: Should I get snow tires

Appreciate the thoughts guys. Studded are not legal in WI, and I think chains would be overkill. Right now she's got what was a fairly recommended tire at least a few years ago, Yokohama Geolandars...

Re: EGR keeps getting stuck

It doesn't always do it though, so I guess I'd have to leave this alumagasket on for a while to get a sense to if it's working or not. I'll see what I can cobble together tomorrow morning.

Re: EGR keeps getting stuck

I guess my real concern is what is the cause of the carbon build up on the EGR? Though I will certainly try your suggestion. I'm guessing 1 sheet of soda can isn't enough?

EGR keeps getting stuck

P0401 comes on for a day or two then goes off. I clean my EGR and it gets a little gummed up again after 15-30 miles. My acceleration occasionally is slow, and it will sometimes buck and fuel economy...

Re: Buying a Saturn S-Series?

significant amount of work versus an SL with manual steering. I taught my brother and a friend of mine on one of those. Driving a Neon without power steering was much worse.

Re: Once your "S" gone, what will be your next one?

I'm looking Euro primarily
loaded GTI, loaded Jetta, A4, BMW 3

I'd look at Ford on the American side, nothing from GM or Chrysler inspires me at all. I like the looks of the Fiesta. The new...

Re: 04 Saturn Vue Rollover crash w/ pictures

Glad you are OK. The vue did it's job, but it definitely looks like it could have been worse.

And our 06 is the same color.

Re: 2002 SL1 - How to you remove the 18mm blots holding the rotor?

The grade is stamped on the heads of the bolts, which I have, so I'm not worried about that. I just need the length.

Re: 2002 SL1 - How to you remove the 18mm blots holding the rotor?

Can anyone tell me the length of the 18mm bolts? I broke the heads off 2 of mine today, and it's now too late to go to the store, but I would like to go tomorrow.
