Thank you OldNut....It sounds like if I buy one quart of Mobil 1 ATF that should cover the loss (and then some)......

How much fluid do you lose when removing the transmission end cover to replace the input shaft nut?

FYI, I just changed the ATF 2K miles ago (with Mobil 1) so I do not want to drop another $50-$60...

I am replacing the compressor & drier on my 1997 Saturn. The instructions for the replacement compressor state that there is already 3 ounces of oil inside the rebuilt unit. However, only 1 1/2...

My thought was that if my 97 failed SMOG it would probably be due to the cat....Then I would merely swap the header pipe/cat (i.e. not the manifold) out of my 99 parts cars....But it sounds like it...

I tried the Purelator in my 1999 SL2 and the car was hard to start. Picked up a WIX via RockAuto and no problems since.

I filled the system and now I'm at 35 psi low 250 psi high....
However, the schrader value on the high side is hissing very very slightly...
I tightened it but it's still ever so...

In my 100 degree garage, the low side was 45 and the high side was 55.
The compressor is running but no cold air. I believe that the schrader value on the low side caused the r134A to leak out...

Update....The schrader value is tight....I flipped the button quickly to re-seat it.....I added freon to bring the low side up to 35-40lbs....The compressor kicks in but no cold air...

About 10 days ago, I had the a/c in my Saturn serviced at Jiffy Lube. Today it stopped working and it appears that all the r134a has leaked out of the high side port.

I had a professional diagnosis completed and here are the results:

Cycling pressure 60 psi, high side 150 psi
Replace accumulator, o tube, expandsion valve, schradrer values and suction hose.
