Was able to spray carb cleaner down those passage ways and it came out full blast into the exhaust ports, so effectively should eliminate that as the culprit here. Got it all back together last night...

Never heard of a hot air intake being good for these pigs. I thought cool air was better over all for mileage and running efficiently, air/fuel mixture to atomize most efficiently.

Quick question: How far into the head do those passages go? I stuck a piece of wire down them and it seemed to stop about an inch or so in.

Well, I got the exhaust manifold pulled, that was fun, just a few days of penetrating oil and some careful removal of the nuts. Sadly it looks pretty good, not as much build up as I was expecting to...

That is some nice workmanship there, almost factory. Could have done a little more with the clear coat finish though.
So, with that trim installed, one could get $2500 versus $1500?

New gas cap installed and drove for a little over a week to work, and code P0442 is now gone, but P0410 still persists. Isn't that a little bass ackwards?

Well I already have the hub re-installed, and I used a very thin coat of anti-seize. So far the ABS code has not returned, and I have driven the car to work three days now, so I'm crossing my fingers...

My last recorded MPG was 37, in my '01 SL2, was back in cooler weather though. With this hub replace, and CEL codes, I haven't been daily driving the Saturn.
