2 Saturn household down to 1.

After putting nearly 175k miles one the 2008 Redline VUE, we decided it was time to retire it. With GM putting up a 20% off MSRP rebate incentive, I decided it was too good of a sale to pass up. I...

Re: Disable horn honk when locking/activating alarm?

I don't believe there is a way to disable the horn honk when using the delayed locking. If you press your lock button twice on the door armrest, it will immediately lock the doors, and the horn will...

Re: Abs traction stability lights

It could also be a wheel speed sensor. I've replaced all four corners on my Vue during my ownership. The replacement AC Delcos have outlasted the originals.

Re: 1993 Saturn SW2 Wagon - 5-Speed Question

If you remove the air intake duct, you'll easily find the transaxle dipstick and fill tube.

Re: Who has the most miles on their VUE?

165,000 miles on an 08 Redline Vue. That's about 90,000 more than I have on my SC2.

Re: 1991 SL2 with 29K miles!

That makes mine look like a gem. I guess I'm not the only one that has a first gen with less than 100k on the clock.

Re: Energy suspension bushings installation, thoughts, PICS!

I'm still trying to find replacement lateral link to knuckle bolts. The one that I have out measured 215mm in shaft length. I don't think I beat 15mm off the end with my 5-pound hammer. I suppose...

Re: Energy suspension bushings installation, thoughts, PICS!

I'm getting ready to change out the rear suspension bushings, and think that the a press would be the best option when compared to burning or C-clamps. The bench-top model at HF is on sale for $70. ...

Re: 2008 Vue replacement rear wiper blade

Easiest replacement I found was to get an 11" Rain-X blade and then remove the refill and put it in the OEM blade.

Re: what tires are you running?

I put Yokohama Parada Spec-X on the '08 Redline Vue. So far I've been very pleased with them. I put them on late last winter, and haven't gotten to try them out in any kind of signifcant snowfall. ...

Re: Sleeves on inner tie rod socket.

Does that mean I should leave the sleeve off? This is my original thought because it seems that during operation, the sleeve would come off the socket as the gear extends. Then it would get caught...

Sleeves on inner tie rod socket.

I'm replacing the inner tie rods on the 93 SC2. The original inner tie rods have a plastic sleeve that fits snugly over the socket joint. The sleeve is much larger than the socket on the new inner...

I haven't had any problems with the brakes or snow traction. I know my VUE had been on the dealer lot since last summer, it spent a lot of time outdoors without being driven. Right now the street...

I'm guessing that they didn't have any in stock at the parts counter. I'm still waiting for a key for my VUE. One was missing from when I bought it a couple of weeks ago. My salesperson said GM is...

Re: Hiddenlites got a new VUE!

I haven't given up on the SC2; marriage and home ownership really put the rebuild project on the back burner. I was able to spend some time last summer stripping down and refinishing an engine...

That sounds like a good move with the Craftsman purchase. I got started with a similar set, and it has served me well in the last 15 years. I'm able to do most routine maintenance with the set, and...
