Re: Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement

I had to have my 2002 SL1 re-keyed, ignition, doors, and trunk. I took it to the stealership and out the door it cost me $700, but that was mostly because my vehicle had been stolen and the ignition...

Re: A 4000 mile trip in my 02 SL1 5-speed.

That's a trip! My sister recently bought an 13 Kia Soul, it's stability compared to my old Saturn is much different. On one hand driving straight it's much quieter, smoother. But once you turn, or...

Re: A 4000 mile trip in my 02 SL1 5-speed.

I was convinced that the constant hill climbing, having to drop a gear into 4th would drastically lower my mileage, but it didn't!?

Also i am running Michelin Defender's all around with 41psi in...

Re: A 4000 mile trip in my 02 SL1 5-speed.

I completely forgot to add that in! For the entire trip I used two quarts, about half a quart every five hundred miles or so. I noticed if I kept the speed at 70mph or below my oil consumption was...

2002 SL1...Will gutting the pre-cat that is in the exhaust manifold cause the car to throw a cel? Will the car still pass the sniffer part of the smog test?

Re: SC2 Muffler

I've been contemplating getting a cat back done not for the increase in power but for the increase in fuel economy you gain by freeing up the exhaust side of the engine. Couple that with a K&N filter...
