Re: How many miles?

156,000 - Has an appetite for 10w30, the screws in the sunroof loosen up from time to time and the doors don't like to open from the inside on a rainy day but still just as fun to drive (with a...

Re: Is my Vue (2004 manual) toast? Ack!

Re: Here's a "simple" question about wheel bearings

Yes - to repair it you need to buy the entire hub assembly. You won't find just the bearings.

Re: Does a 2004 Vue manual have the CVT tranny?

CVT Transmission is an automatic transmission. Its a typo - a weird one...but a typo.

Re: Headliner drooping

Had the same issue in the same places - used a glue stick like kids use in school. It was my wife's idea and honestly I didn't think it would work.

That said - haven't had to re-do it in 2 years...

Re: ticking sound at start up

Mine (2004) did the same thing - took longer to go away in the cold weather than in the summer. Turned out to be the exhaust manifold - one of the bolts broke. Once the manifold was replaced and...

Re: A/C compressor comes on with with heat.

Yes...completely normal. I understand why the compressor comes on with the defroster since its trying to dry condensation off of the windows, and they have in GM cars since at least the 70s.

Now...

Re: 2009 Vue XR Stabilitrak issues

Did you pull the trouble code from it with a reader? While it wasn't a Vue, our Uplander would show that on the dash when a wheel speed sensor went bad. The code pointed to the problem and which...

Re: Never saw this before

I thought there was no flasher module on these and that the BCM took care of that stuff? Where is it? I've replaced these on older cars but don't see one in either fuse block on the Vue....could it...

Never saw this before

Did some searching and couldn't find a mention of this one, thought I'd throw it out to everyone to see what you think:

My turn signals change blinking speed - sometimes they blink fast, sometimes...

Re: Headliner sagging

Mine was pulling away at the front along the top of the windshield...I know this sounds stupid but I used an Elmer's glue stick (like kids use in school) to re attach it to the backing...figured it...

Re: Thinking about buying 06 Relay with 100k miles for $1800

You only have to ask yourself 2 questions if you are thinking about buying a Relay/Uplander/Montana (they're all the same)

1 - Are you a mechanic?

2- Do you have a pot of $ buried in the...

Re: Radio won't turn off

I have the same radio and mine does that too from time to time, especially in the colder weather. Sometimes the screen will also go blank for a period of time or even show unintelligibile...

Re: Does GM really need two brands of trucks?

Do they really need 2? Probably not...That said, as long as both keep selling in adequate numbers there's not really a good reason to discontinue one or the other. If one was to start selling in...

Re: Did I get ripped off

Might be a little high but you did not get ripped off IMHO - they have a markup on parts and although I've never done one it looks like to thermostat is a pain to replace on the 4 cyl so the labor...

Re: Stiff Shifting

+1 for shifter cables...Mine was especially hard to shift in the cold weather...Changed mine at about 105,000 and still shifts like new now at 130,000. Worth every penny. I think it was in the $350...

+1 - Mine started grinding into reverse - replaced binding shift cables before something else let loose and problem solved.

Re: Replace first: Speakers vs Receiver?

With the correct adapter you won't lose your steering wheel audio controls and there's no reason to lose 12V outlets as you will use the same 12v wiring that your current radio uses.

I've done a...

Re: Odometer Illumination

GM part# 21019273 from your local GM dealer. They may have to cross reference it but it was also used in the Equinox so a Chevy dealer shouldn't have a problem figuring out what you need.
