Re: Directional Turns on High Beams

Many thanx. I will add it to the list of things to fix on this car. Still runs pretty good. Both back windows are pinned up and disconnected, just replaced the motor and regulator on the driver's...

Directional Turns on High Beams

Figure I may have a short on the directional lever (stick or whatever it is called) on my wife's 2006 Vue. When she uses the directional, the high beams come on. Happens on either a left or right...

Re: 2009 saturn vue xr 10,000 original miles

I would ask about the transmission. The XR (as well as a bunch of other GM products) had issues with the #-%-R waveplate. GM gave a special extended warranty of 100,00 miles or 10 years whichever...

Re: How long can a/c leak?

My 2006 has a leak at the compressor near the scroll valve. It has been that way for about 3 years. We get about a season in AZ before we have to recharge. My mechanic has quoted me about 2K to...

Re: Water Leak in VUE- Likely culprit?

My 2006 had problems with leaks. We tracked the first set to the sunroof drains. We saw water in the leading edge of the headliner, the lights over the windshield and of course on the floor. In...

Re: Interior Handgrip Driver's Door

Many thanx for the diagram. I'll have to keep on file in the event I have to do the other one.

Re: Interior Handgrip Driver's Door

HAd the Vue in for service at my local mechanic yesterday. Got an estimate to replace the handle - evidently he can find the part where others couldn't. Very reasonable price. He'll call me when the...

Re: 2007 Saturn Vue Door locks keep "locking"

Pn my 2006 Vue the locks going funky was one of the signs my sunroof had starting leaking. Water would get into the electrics and the locks would go funky. When it was really bad the alarm system...

Re: Interior Handgrip Driver's Door

Not sure if it was an option or not. I'll even take a plain gray one if I can find one. I do know that you need to pull the outside door panel to replace the handle and there is a little clip by the...

Interior Handgrip Driver's Door

This is for a 2006 Vue - looking for the handgrip for the interior driver's door. This is the woodgrained handhold/grip used to close the door. The one on my wife's car broke off at the attachment...

Re: TPS, APS, Water Leak, BCM, Reduced Power

Where are you seeing the water leak? Driver/passenger foot wells, wet seat belts?

If you have a sunroof, take a look at the drains and see if they are plugged or see if the go all the way to the...

Re: Rear wiper blade- 2009 Vue XE

Did you try looking for the rear blade for a 2010 Captiva? That is what I used to have to do on my 08. Blade fit like a champ.

Re: 2006 Vue Sunroof Seal

For sunroof issues, the body shop outsources to a third party specializing in sunroofs including custom installs. I have used them for some other work and they are really good and always thorough....

Re: 2006 Vue Sunroof Seal

An update on the continuing saga (which I hope is now over). Car went back in the shop to get dried out. I had 4-5 gallons of water which I vac'd out of the driver and passenger front foot wells...

Re: Transmission Problem?

While not the same issue, but for the sake of comparison, my local GM dealer quoted me 4500 to replace the 6T70 in my 08 Vue, 4900 to rebuild. That was last July. We ended up trading the car as GM...

Re: Headliner drooping

Go to your local fabric shop and for fabric glue. It will survive washing and works quite well. Had to use it on both of my Vues several years ago and it is still holding. One word of caution, it may...

Re: Vue 3-5R wave plate

Oscar,

Based on the numbers the prior poster listed, I doubt GM will. I went up the chain on mine and they wouldn't even help. I was 4 days outside the 10 year window based on the day we did the...

Re: Front dome light cover

You may also want to look at Captiva parts? I know one example is the rear wiper. Could never find one for the Vue, but the Captiva had the same fit.

fdryer,

Did the OP mention which engine or model she has? Didn't the early XE also have some issues/recall/campaign with the heater cores? I have a friend who had one that was recalled for the...

Have you looked at the flasher module. I have seen variable blinker speed when the module was starting to go. Just a thought.

Re: Buying a 2008 VUE. What to look for?

The only major thing I knew of on the 2008 Vue was the 6T70 transmission wave plate issue on the 3.6L engine. Other than that, it is pretty much a rock solid, typical Saturn. Enjoy your Vue.

BTW,...

Re: 2008 Vue XE questions. 2.4 auto.

Some of the early 2.4 08s had a heater core issue which was fixed with a recall/service bulletin when the vehicle was brought in for routine service. I had several friends with this model and it they...

Re: Vents Not Adjusting According to Setting

Just a stab, not sure if this is related to your issue or not as I got a little lost in the prior posts.

On my wife's 06 Vue (3.5) we had problems with the air flow not going to the correct place...
