Re: Possible clutch problem in 2006 4cyl manual Vue

Thanks for the suggestions! I don't think it's the slave cylinder from the descriptions I've read - the pedal feels completely normal - but maybe, with luck, it will turn out to be the cable or...

Re: Possible clutch problem in 2006 4cyl manual Vue

Ok, next stage: mechanics are now telling me it's impossible to get parts. HUH?? Aren't there several GM sister cars? Has no 3rd-party mfr made parts?

They are also suggesting it may be a problem...

Possible clutch problem in 2006 4cyl manual Vue

Hi folks.

Lonnngg time since I've visited here! Frankly, the 2006 has been so reliable I never needed to check anything out - it's been great. I was sad when they took the model to sheet-metal,...

Re: Door ding

I genuinely don't KNOW if I did it. I certainly wasn't "being careless" that I do know. THere's her account, and (maybe) some circumstancial evidence that suggests I MIGHT have caught her door - and...

Re: Door ding

Yeah... pretty much what my husband said! I was just flustered or I prolly would have come up with that myself, alas. I was still in "WTF?" mode, especially once she started wailing and railing...

Re: Saturn wants my 2003 Vue

HA! I just did my homework and knew what I was prepared to accept and prepared to pay - I figured as a woman negotiating alone the only real power I had was market knowledge, so..... What really...

Re: Saturn wants my 2003 Vue

I got one of these letters about my 2002 VUE right before the end of last year for a "year end event" (which I assume was the point - to get sales up by the turn of the year). Walked in, showed them...

Re: Door ding

Update: today, received an estimate from this woman for nearly $400 (not including the 3 days of car rental that she wants!!!). As far as I can tell from the printout she sent this includes parts...

Yes on all accounts. No matter how this plays out, I will demand to see the pictures and the alleged police report before doing a THING (and have no idea if she could have got my info any other...

Re: Door ding

I don't disagree with you, and in fact tried to do thatbut this woman's behaviour was really out of line and made it near impossible. She railed at me for nearly 20 minutes for the "5 other people...

Re: Door ding

In answer to assorted questions:

I didn't see if the doors lined up because she had already moved her car over out of the spot by the time she came to get me (hmmmm)

I do try to be very careful...

Door ding

Hi! Been a while since I posted (although I lurk fairly regularly just to keep up :)

Go up to the local mall in the 06 Vue - park it, start doing my stuff. Am in a TJ Maxx trying on some clothes...

Re: How do you like your Vue?

Enough to have bought my 2nd one this weekend :)

First was an early 2002 Sport pkg - had a lot of the first year bugs (and I will think long and hard before ever having a first-year model again -...

Re: Just bought Vue #2!

You know what I love about the CD player? AUXILIARY JACK!! THAT is one of the nicest touches. I'm a professional singer and thus record rehearsals and performances all the time, and this means I can...

Re: Just bought Vue #2!

Hi Vuecop, and many thanks for your response. In a perfect world I'd love to keep the cargo area clear, but although I never leave valuables like computer etc in the car (in sight OR out!!) I...

Re: Just bought Vue #2!

The Sport+ was a 5 speed 4cyl manual - it's the loaded manual they put out when they first released the car and production on the cvt automatic was delayed.

Mine was a very early model (February...

Just bought Vue #2!

Just traded in my 2002 Sport+ Vue w/90,700 miles on it for a 2006 5m/abs/sunroof. Got a great end-of-year deal (+ the GM direct marketing coupon + the Target gift card promo) and basically I wound...

Re: VUE crash and a few Qs

Well, it didn't get written off and they're going to fix it... to the tune of $7,000 worth of repairs. OUCH!! Glad it's on the other guy's bill...

Anything I should be asking about, looking for...

Re: VUE crash and a few Qs

Well that brightens the prospect quite considerably - I thought it was the same sort of value I'd get on a trade. If it's what I'd have to PAY to get one, then I think we're good ... in fact, if...

Re: VUE crash and a few Qs

No, actually I think I will benefit - unless the ins co is atypically generous (or my research is very off base) I think that I AM likely to wind up upside down and the GAP may be incredibly...

VUE crash and a few Qs

Hi!

Been a while since I've been around here. I'm an e.a.r.l.y model VUE 2002 owner. Had the usual teething problems (tx Saturnfans for helping me through those with minimal heartache!) but...

And GM does have some decent diesels...... they're just not in the US. The European diesels were just fine (if not as refined as VW and Peugeot, the diesel astra...
