Re: Calling all experts!! What the heck is this???

Ac drain is shown at ~ the 1:00 mark in this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0VdFRDdgvA) video. If you are seeing coolant dripping from it you do need to replace your heater core.

Re: Saturn Sway bar broke, replacement discontinued?

See post #29 on page 1. The end links are only used in the rear.

You do need to check it. It is possible the LCA bushing wore out and the nut just fell off like mine did? That just takes a new...

Sounds like a typical starter failure symptoms. Try rapping the starter motor housing with a piece of wood and see if it starts. This video shows another method of checking for a failed...

Re: Transporting My Non-Rolling Chassis

Span tables?!? It's a stripped Saturn body after all. I'd bet three guys could just pick the whole thing up and move it wherever without breaking a sweat.

Re: Transporting My Non-Rolling Chassis

Regular u-haul utility trailer, some horror fraught furniture dollys, along with some ratcheting tie downs, a tarp with some HF bungees and Bob's your uncle!

Re: Need help, (DOHC). How can I remove tension from the timing chain?

Welcome!

Resign yourself to pulling the TC cover. You are going to have to pull the head anyhow. It is an interference engine.

Re: 2002 Saturn Sl1 Mechanic rip off?

Welcome Beasty!

Please keep in mind that virtually NO shop gets parts on-line. To compare apples to apples you need to look at sites like NAPA or CarQuest and good luck with that. A good portion...

What is your normal operating temperature? Have you replaced the ECTS with a brass one? Is there any green corrosion on the connector?

Re: AC Delco 21007465 tensioner 77.xx$ on amazon good deal?

Huh? I see $106.79 for that part on RA.

Also, what is the difference between that and a AC-D # 38112 {#88909602} @ $65.79?

Re: Ticking noise under hood. Squealing nose when in gear?

99.95% chance.

Should be, as long as it's just the idler bearing. You can get a aftermarket replacement from any parts store. Just be sure not to over tighten the idler to timing cover...
