When you state "unhook the O2 sensor" do you mean disconnected wiring or removed the sensor? Disconnecting wiring and removing the sensor are two different descriptions and can mislead anyone if not...

1-No one has to buy a compression gauge if a nearby AutoZone has one for loan as part of a tool loan program. Advance Auto provides a similar policy.

Push button start is not a factory option on any S-series. As fetchitfido states, find out how this was wired as it may be the problem.
