Baldwin fuel filter--what are these extra pieces?!

1 Attachment(s)
I am getting ready to change the filter in my '96 SC. The filter is the older version that goes in the engine bay area.

I ordered a Baldwin filter and it came in a box with no instructions. The connector that goes to the engine looks ready to snap on. However, on the filter itself there is no connector. There were extra pieces in the box and I have no idea how they orient or where they go. Any thoughts? I don't want to have my car down, so trying to get a plan in place first. Anyone changed the older fuel filters have any clues?

Picture attached.

Thanks!

The inlet side of the existing filter should have a slip on connector with 2 tabs sticking out of it pointing towards the fuel pump body. You squeeze the tabs and carefully slide the connector off of the old filter and then onto the new filter. It inserts to the point you hear the latch click over that ring on the inlet tube. Should not need those extra fittings.

What is actually there depends on how bad it has been hacked over time.

The two speed nuts are for the fuel filter bracket, they replace the ones currently on the car that may in poor condition.
The larger folding plastic piece is the release tool for the fuel line hold in clips.
The other plastic piece is a fuel line clip.
